Background
The advertiser is a company domiciled in Zambia and involved in power generation. As a provider of energy services, the advertiser has a passionate team of diverse professionals working to efficiently and effectively deliver the contracted energy services. To this effect, the company is hereby inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill the following positions:
ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
REPORTING TO: PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTANT
Key responsibilities include;
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Ensuring that all invoiced payments are correctly captured in Sage pastel and online payment platforms
• Producing and maintaining the position on daily basis for Management decision
• Generation of Purchase Requisitions (PRS) in the system
• Maintenance of Office Imprest
• Filing and maintenance of Finance records and documentation
• Capturing payroll inputs in the system
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications and experience
• ZICA Technician, Diploma Business studies
• Must have 3+ years of related experience as an Accounts assistant/clerk in large public and/or private institution.
• Thorough knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures of accounting.
• Good understanding of accounting management software such as Sage evolution.
• Must be prepared to undertake further development of business or leadership skills through participation in internal and external training and development.
• Possess initiative and mature judgment with the ability to make and implement sound decisions.
• Must be a member of ZICA
