JOB DETAILS: Job Purpose
The Accountant will be responsible for handling budget preparations, analyzing financial data and handling all statutory obligations. Lead and orchestrate all necessary accounting responsibilities as needed to maintain an impeccable Finance environment.
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Monitor General Ledger posting by ensuring that they are posted to the correct accounts and correcting them bypassing and reversing journals/documents
• Preparing financial statements of the business at the end of each financial cycle or the intervals decided by the authorities of the organization.
• Maintaining financial procedures consistent with Treasury and other directives.
• Monitor all payments and ensure correct taxes are computed and paid on time to avoid penalties and blocking of accounts.
• Assisting line managers in establishing a culture of high performance, professionalism and continuous improvement that encourages individuals and teams to identify opportunities and solutions to improve service delivery
• Liaise with the Chief accountant on matters to do with computation and processing of PAYE, License fees, Company Tax and VAT and ensuring payments are made on time.
• Contributing to providing effective leadership to foster initiative, promote and build effective teams, achieve outcomes and meet the deadline
• Analysis of General ledger accounts on a monthly basis and recommend necessary action on old outstanding balances/items.
• Matching general ledger accounts and clearing and reducing the number of open items.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule

Qualifications and Experience
• Full ACCA /CIMA/CA Zambia
• A degree in Finance or Accountancy will be a plus
• Must have at least a minimum of 4-6 work experience in the same capacity working for a MINE
• Having worked for a Mining Company or Engineering Firm will be an added advantage.
• Able to work in a team
• Should have proven supervisor experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Job Purpose
To oversee the company safety programs and its implementation in compliance with health and safety regulations and to enforce employee’s health and safety at work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the workplace possesses an ideal and safe work environment to protect the health of the staff and visitors
• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
• Inspect and evaluate all equipment, practices and procedures in accordance with safety legislation and government regulations
• Predict all kinds of potential risks (accidents, diseases, etc.), identify their causes and recommend measures to prevent or minimize them
• Report all critical emergencies, accidents, staff complaints to the management, and investigate such cause

Qualification and Requirements:

• Familiar with ISO environmental practices and standards, environment regulations
• Knowledge of computers, various software programs and complex testing equipment
• Five (5) years of related experience preferred.

Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Accounts Officer is responsible for identifying hotel’s risk areas, monitoring controls, handing of Tax related matters, and maintaining an awareness of local laws, rules and regulations.
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for maintaining and managing records of fixed assets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Establish and monitor adequate internal controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets including implementation and compliance of the MINT Finance Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Handling of Internal/External Audit as well as the Tax related matters to prepare the information as requested by the concerned parties
• Ensure that all Capital Expenditure items are captured on the asset register as soon as possible.
• Ensure that the fixed assets register module reconciles to the General Ledger.
• Providing safekeeping, including proper storage and access for all contracts, leases and other financial records
• Participation in Balance Sheet accounts Reconciliation.
• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller or any other person designated by them.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Understands the business environment, and the strategic objectives and challenges of the overall company operation.
• Processes information intelligently and analytically, leading to well-informed judgements and logical and coherent conclusions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to make contact with all levels within the company and each business unit
• In depth experience with consolidation, revenue recognition, stock compensation, business combination and/or derivatives and hedging accounting technical topics and research.
• Knowledge of Zambia Revenue Authority and other statutory regulations.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must possess the appropriate professional qualification held by Finance professionals including good accounting knowledge
• Good English Language Communication with reading, writing and speaking skills
• Fluency with computer applications particularly Microsoft office products, email with experience in general ledger and other hotel related computer operating systems

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2-5 years experience in Accounting or relevant fields.
