JOB DETAILS:
Job Description:
• In the capacity of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant at Agova, your role will involve spearheading M&E activities within Agova’s client projects, coordinating data collection, analysis, and interpretation, and ensuring alignment with overarching project objectives. Your proficiency in implementing M&E tools and software, coupled with strong analytical skills, will be crucial in providing valuable insights to enhance decision-making processes. Furthermore, your responsibilities encompass fostering effective stakeholder engagement, communicating M&E findings to diverse audiences, and actively contributing to the development of standard operating procedures. Collaborating closely with project teams, you will play a key role in maintaining a commitment to quality assurance and guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of M&E data and reports.

Key Responsibilities
• Project Leadership:
• Serve as the Lead Consultant for M&E projects, assuming responsibility for the entire research process from inception to completion.
Develop comprehensive measurement frameworks and detailed methodologies tailored to the specific objectives and requirements of each project.
Manage internal project management responsibilities, including internal reporting, leading project team meetings, and ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project team members, including enumerators and junior consultants, as needed, to ensure project success.
Data Collection and Management:
• Oversee all aspects of data collection activities, including the recruitment, training, and supervision of enumerators, ensuring adherence to research protocols and quality standards.
Manage both secondary and primary research efforts, including market research, venture capital analysis, feasibility studies, and other relevant methodologies, to gather comprehensive data for analysis.
Ensure the effective management and organization of collected data, leveraging appropriate data collection tools and platforms such as ODK, Kobo, and Excel to facilitate accurate and efficient data processing.
Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct rigorous analysis of collected data using advanced statistical techniques and data analysis software such as SPSS, Excel, and R, to extract meaningful insights and trends relevant to project objectives.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports that communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create visually engaging and informative reports.
Collaborate with project teams to develop impactful presentations and deliverables, incorporating relevant graphics, visuals, and storytelling elements to enhance understanding and engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
5 years of experience in hands-on M&E work, including developing measurement frameworks and methodologies.
Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee data collection activities effectively.
Proficiency in conducting both secondary and primary research, with experience managing enumerators.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of computer literacy with a solid command of Microsoft Office suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Has leadership experience and demonstrated ability to take initiative.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to design and implement work plans, within set timelines.
Ability to travel within Zambia (when required).
