  EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce is the largest Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVET) Institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education. Since its inception in 1963, the institution continues to offer world class training in Business Studies, Health Sciences and Applied Arts, among others a University College of Technology. As part of its transformation process into an Institute of Technology, the institution is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the under listed position. The successful candidate will be situated in Isoka:
LECTURER - ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH X 01 (ISOKA CAMPUS).

Main Duties
• Effectively undertake the delivery of lectures in accordance with the curricula in order to impart knowledge to students;
• Effectively co-ordinate the teaching functions of the programme;
• Undertake the delivery of student's assessment, research supervision, industrial attachment assessment and maintenance of performance records in order to determine effectiveness of the level of lecturing;
• Undertake the development and review of appropriate syllabi in order to facilitate the delivery of the curricula;
• Prepare schemes of work and lesson plans in order to ensure efficient delivery of lectures;
• Prepares teaching aids and lecture materials in order to improve the effectiveness of lectures; Undertake research and consultancy in order to contribute to the body of knowledge and promote best practice in the programme.

  Skills
• Must possess high level communication skills (both written and spoken);
• High level presentation skills;
• Ability to work and lead teams in a large and complex sitting;
• Proven supervisory and organizational skills;
• Proven report writing and researching skills and a sound understanding of information gathering techniques;
• Good interpersonal and people management skills;
• Computer Literacy in all office packages;
• Must have demonstrable skills in negotiating and resolving conflicts
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines

Minimum Qualifications
• Grade Twelve Certificate;
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Health Technology/Science;
• Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Technology or related field will be
• an added advantage;
• HPCZ Practicing Licence and Member of a relevant professional body;
• Demonstrable work experience of at least three years;
• Teaching Methodology;
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
