JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
Will be responsible to perform general duties in the mining area
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
1. Cleaning and preparing working sites
2. To perform general labour duties in mining
3. Physically transport or carriages materials to requested destinations underground
4. Guard protected areas and materials including explosives underground
5. Perform duties associated with track laying and clearing of water drains
6. Observe all mining and safety regulations at all times while performing assigned tasks
7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those relating to health, safety hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility
8. Be part of a team providing general work, support and assistance to skilled trades people in the assigned section
9. Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
1. Grade 12 Certificate
2. Good interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills
3. 1 to 2 years work experience in a mine environment preferably underground
