JOB DETAILS:
Madison Life Insurance Company Zambia Limited (MLife) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individual to join MLife’s Fund Management Team as an Assistant Investment Manager (1) to be based at Head Office. The job holder will be reporting to the Investment Manager.

Key Responsibilities
1. Continuously collect and interpret data, such as Company financial statements, price
developments, currency adjustments and yield fluctuations in relation to the Investment Portfolio.
2. Perform financial due diligence, analysis and other actions as outlined in the Company’s Investment Policies and Procedures on prospective investments and make appropriate recommendations.
3. Undertake and write research reports that will form a key input to business proposals.
4. Maintain up-to-date information on the latest economic and financial markets trends and their impacts on the Investment Portfolio.
5. Draft business proposals for presentation to the Investment Manager.
6. Market the services offered under the Fund Management Department and ensure that the allocated budgets are achieved.
7. Ensure compliance with investment policies and procedures and various regulatory requirements.
8. Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure that excess funds are invested promptly to maximise investment returns.
9. Coordinate the audit activities of the Fund Management Department.
10. Any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Key Qualifications, Qualities & Competencies
• Full Grade 12 Certificate;
• Bachelor’s Degree (or its equivalent) in Investments, Finance, Banking, Economics or related fields or Professional Qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CFA).
• 3 years’ work experience in financial analysis, corporate finance and related fields.
• Skill Specifications: Research and Report writing, Communication and Computer skills.
