About the Position
The Driver will provide assistance and support to the team by providing driving services at the office and project stations across the country. The successful candidate have key responsibilities in the following areas:
• Ensure maintenance, safety, mileage log and management for Lusaka office vehicle/s stationed in Lusaka or on duty assignment.
• Providing driving service to WorldFish projects and general office operations according to official assignments.
• Keeping WorldFish vehicles clean, well maintained, timely serviced and repaired.
• Compiling logbooks and generating fuel analysis reports.
• Ensure safety of passengers and vehicles at all times.
• Keep records of all vehicles and other equipment assigned to you and plan for regular fuelling, maintenance and service.

Requirements
This job might be for you if you have the below skills and qualifications:
• At least a secondary school certificate.
• Certificate in Vehicle maintenance or Mechanics.
• At least five years’ experience as a driver in an International Organization working.
• Valid Driver’s License for at least 3 years.
• Excellent spoken and written in English.
• Experience of fleet management.
• Experience of extensive up-country travel and interaction with local authorities and communities.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Self-starter.
• Able to deal with general administration activities such as photocopying and filling.
• Servicing of vehicles on time.
• Motivation to work in resource-poor settings and for long hours as part of a project team.

This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position and WorldFish offers a competitive remuneration package including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, provident fund contribution, paid leave and others.
Our Offer
The position will be based in Lusaka, Zambia. Interviews are expected to begin in March 2022. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the virtual interview session. The successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible for an initial of one (01) year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding situation.
