JOB DETAILS:
The position is responsible for providing effective support to the Director of Finance in the financial management and administration of LGAZ. The job holder should have knowledge of basic accounting procedures, be able to maintain accurate financial records, have strong communication and customer service skills. .

Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintaining financial records including accounts payable and receivable.
• Resolving accounts to the general leger.
• Originating payment vouchers and contacting clients about transactions and invoicing by observing procurement procedures.
• Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts.
• Ensure efficient payments and disbursements according to approved policy and procedures.
• Ensure functional logistical system including travel and events organisation.
• Ensure safe custody and maintenance of vehicles, office equipment, furniture and accessories.
• Ensure maintenance of up-to-date personnel records including personal vital statistics, leave days, gratuity and salary advances among others.
• Ensure management of staff benefits including medical, social security, travel insurance, among others.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory returns.
• Any other duties to be assigned by the Director of Finance.

Job requirements
Candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
• Diploma in accounting or business-related fields. A degree in similar fields is an added advantage.
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a busy office.
• Proven knowledge of accounting and financial analytical skills.
• Proven knowledge of computerized accounting and other computer application packages.
• High integrity with ability to handle cash.
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team.
