Investrust Bank Plc (IBP) is looking for suitably qualified, vibrant and self-motivated individual to fill the position that has fallen vacant below.
Position Title: Human Resources Officer – Resourcing and Development
Grade: IBP4
Department: Human Resource and Administration
Location: Head Office
Reports to: Human Resource Manager – Resourcing and Development

Job Purpose
To undertake staff recruitment and training and development activities to ensure that the Bank is adequately resourced with skilled and competent personnel capable of executing their responsibilities to the satisfaction of the Institution

Key Responsibilities
• Support Human Resources Manager, Resourcing and Development (HRMR&D) in development and implementation of Human Resources policies including those related to recruitment, selection, resourcing, training and development.
• Conducts skills audit in the organization in order to determine the training needs of staff.
• Searches for and selects suitable training providers to deliver the training to the expectation and satisfaction of the organization.
• Evaluates the training programs vis-à-vis the institution’s requirements and initiates remedial action to address the training gaps if any.
• Carries out recruitment, selection and placement of staff to fill the vacancies in conjunction with Heads of Department.
• Undertakes orientation of new employees so as to appraise them with their conditions of service, Bank policies, job duties, business etiquettes etc.
• Maintains a database for Human Resource to facilitate the generation of labour returns and other adhoc reports.
• Participates in the administration of performance appraisals system which helps to identify training needs and promotion potential of staff.
• Monitoring the expiry of probationary period for new entrants and ensure that Division/ Departmental Heads are notified in time.
• Participating in preparation of Training and Development budget.
• Assist in coordinating the hiring process, including advertising, screening, short-listing, contacting candidates, conducting interview as well as maintaining a database of candidates.
• Assisting in developing strategic plans for provision of training and development of staff in line with organization business objectives.
• Support (HRMR&D) in providing guidance and advice for staff development and career paths including opportunities for professional development and training.
• Assist in planning and facilitating orientation, induction or on-boarding programs for new staff.
• Conducts Human Resource (manpower) Audit to determine the human resources requirement of the Bank and Submitting Human Resources Monthly, Quarterly and Annually Reports.

Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ with credit or better in Mathematics and English.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Science or Equivalent from a recognized University.
• Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management with a valid Practicing license
• Knowledge of human resources and talent management policies and programs, in particular, staff development and succession planning, and their interrelationships.
• Ability to demonstrates professional competence in meeting commitments.
• Ability to establish priorities and to plan, coordinate and monitor own work and those under his/her supervision.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the Human Resource Management and Training and development at middle management level in a reputable organization.
• Must be a member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management.
