Job Purpose:
• We are looking for highly experienced Auto-electrical or Auto-mechanical Technicians with experience in GPS tracking installations and determining the market value of motor vehicles by using valuation inspection and assessment standards of all motor vehicle models.

Main Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough and accurate valuations of motor vehicles and proper determination of their market value within specified timelines.
• Utilize industry-standard valuation techniques, market analysis, and financial models to determine the fair value of assets.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to ensure valuations are in compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including underwriters, actuaries, and investment managers, to gather necessary information for valuations.
Prepare detailed valuation reports, including methodologies, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on valuation matters to internal stakeholders, including senior management and other departments.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements related to valuations and insurance.
• Determine vehicle roadworthiness.
Diagnose and advise on problems relating to mechanical, electrical, and body repairs.
• Update daily register of all vehicles valued.
• Give regular advice on changes within the automotive industry.
• Assist in dispute resolution on valuations.
• Ensure that the installation and concealment of tracking devices are professionally done and approved by the relevant authority.
• Supervise all functions of tracking installations, assigning tasks, assisting in the stock-taking of devices, monitoring supply and requests, recording faults, and implementing corrective actions
• Assist in the management of the technical staff (both field and indoors)
• Be a link between the main/control and the technical stores
• Assisting in the dispatch and distribution of consumables and devices, including the device status in the Control store.
• Assist in undertaking technicians’ complaints and grievances and providing support.
• Assist in submission of daily fitment reports in time as stipulated unless otherwise.
• Device Troubleshooting and advice.
• Planning and organization of fitment procedures and updates if necessary.
• Ensure that the client’s details are correctly captured in the installation form or job cards.
• Commence installation only after internal requisition and installation order are properly recorded and approved.
• Ensure support in completing the client’s information in the database of the control room.
• Test the tracker after installation to confirm functionality.
• Ensure installation areas are properly secured during and after installation.
• Ensure the client signs the post-installation form before handing over the vehicle to ensure that all is well.
• Maintain confidentiality of client’s information at all times.

Academic and Professional Requirements:
• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in Automobile Engineering from a recognized institution. Any field relatable to Vatuation and Assessment (Auto-mechanics engineering will be an added advantage)
• Registered members of a Valuers and Assessors institute will be an added advantage.
• Must be Up to date with current market trends and prices of motor vehicles
• Must have basic Knowledge of the three main formulae used in the Valuation of Motor Vehicles
• At least 3 years of practical work experience in tracking installations on all vehicle types( both Light duty and Heavy duty will be an added advantage)
• Full knowledge and experience in mechanical and electrical diagnosis.
• Should be in good physical and mental health.
• Should not have a significant record of dishonest or fraudulent conduct.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound judgments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and present valuation findings.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driving license. (Class C or better) Over 2 years of driving experience
