JOB DETAILS:
Bantu Recruitment Agency is looking to fill up the following positions for their client.

1. Artisan Mechanic – Heavy Equipment Repair (Her)
Job Responsibilities:
The specific tasks to be performed by the position holder will include;
• 3Diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems with and without using provided Electronic Scanners/Diagnostic tools.
• Repairing and servicing all heavy equipment products within the established standards.
• Completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, and replacing filters.
• Lubricating equipment in accordance with established procedures and charts.
• Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles.
• Maintaining vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints.
• Completing work order closure sheets
• Replacing parts and components.
• Maintaining vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
• Checking fan belts, hoses, wiper blades, radiators and batteries, and other safety equipment
• Verifying vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives.
• Maintaining excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
• Preparing accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.
• Complying with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
• Be actively involved in daily house-keeping
• Any Other Duties, as per instruction from Direct Line Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience required:
The job will require knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:
• Full Grade Twelve 12 School certificate.
• Craft Certificate from recognised institution.
• A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Valid Driver’s licence.
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a qualified Artisan HER.

2. Artisan – Auto Electrician
Specific Job Responsibility
• Adhere to the company’s planned and preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Respond to unplanned breakdowns when on duty timeously.
• Effectively maintain and repair electrical systems on diesel propelled mining equipment.
• Report all safety incidents immediately to the Supervisor.
• Maintain the correct and safe usage of all hand tools and company property within your section.
• Report all defective tools, record and control all replacement of tools.
• Any other duties as directed by the Electrical Shift Supervisor.

Job Specific Competencies
• Demonstrated application of continuous improvement principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and improve team safety awareness.
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Can demonstrate understanding of mobile equipment electrical circuit analysis, troubleshooting, installation and repair.
• Proven ability to maintain, repair, wire, and install auto electrical components including electrical harnesses, starter motors, alternators, valves, solenoids.

• Knowledge in Basic First Aid and Basic Health and Safety

• At least 5 years’ working experience in heavy equipment operations preferably in the mining environment.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and maintenance on Auto-electrical systems on Mining Mobile equipment
• Ability to provide information technically.
• Ability on defect and risk identification and execute backlog with quality.
• Experience in maintenance of diesel propelled drills such as Cat, Epiroc, Sandvik,
• Furukawa. Experience in some or all of the following machines will be advantageous: Epiroc D65, DML and DM30 or similar.

Qualifications
• Full Grade Twelve (12) School certificate
• Craft Certificate/ Diploma in Automotive Engineering with a Specialization in Auto-Electrical
• Valid Driver’s license
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

3. Artisan – Truck Mechanic
• will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles.
• running diagnostic tests on vehicles
• test driving vehicles to gauge performance
• maintaining detailed records of the vehicles they have serviced.

4. Truck Mechanic
Qualifications
• Should have a diploma in mechanical engineering
• valid driver’s license
• Minimum 2yrs experience.
• Having Trailer Mechanical experience and a diesel certificate will be an added advantage.
• A member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
