Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ Operations Interns in the Operations Department to join our growing team.

JOB PURPOSE
To oversee the operational flow of our fleet. Responsible for supervising drivers, managing loading procedures, and ensuring the smooth execution of transport operations from start to finish.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and track the status of shipments in real-time using company tracking systems and software.
- Provide timely updates and daily tracking reports to clients and internal teams regarding fleet status, shipment progress, and any delays.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with drivers regarding loading plans, transportation schedules, and operational requirements.
- Prepare and send accurate loading orders to drivers in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with transportation and logistics procedures.
- Expedite loading, border crossing, offloading, and delivery processes to minimize delays and ensure efficient operations.
- Identify, report, and resolve shipment issues or delays by coordinating with drivers, carriers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Generate and maintain accurate operational documents, including manifests, shipment records, receipts, and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
- Receive, scan, and submit completed trip receipts and PODs to the supervisor for record-keeping and processing.
- Handle and process demurrage requests in accordance with company procedures and contractual terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipment tracking and operational activities.
- Assist in preparing operational reports and analyzing shipment and fleet performance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to improve tracking procedures, operational efficiency, and logistics processes.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics, transportation, and company regulations and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma in Transport and Logistics
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in using tracking systems and software.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.

All interviews will be conducted in person at our Sakania Office in Ndola.
