Overview
Job Summary: The Sales Manager will report to the Managing Director. S/he will be responsible for achieving trading base and profitable revenue growth through the development of face-to-face and over the phone, long term customer relationships enabling high levels of retention and acquisition of new business within the Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customer classifications.

This will entail the following responsibilities:
a) Market Place Information- To gather competitor and customer data through field sales activities in order to create awareness of local market trends and competitors activities.
b) Selling – To win and develop Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customers within a specific geographic territory in order to generate and meet revenue targets within the guidelines set out within the commercial policy and centrally agreed sales processes in order to meet both individual and team activity and productivity KPIs.
c) Customer Relationship management – To ensure keeping Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customers within a specific geographic territory through building lasting relationships and enhancing customer satisfaction.
d) Sales Administration – To perform all sales administration activities in order to maintain accurate information essential to sustain revenue and customer service.
e) Corporate responsibility and Health & Safety – Comply with the company’s, health, safety and environmental standards and responsibilities as identified within the firm’s management systems
f) Customer Experience – At anytime and anywhere perform the activities and display the behaviors that are designed to deliver a distinctive Customer Experience. These activities and behaviors are highlighted in the “Understands and Delights Customers” core competency and in any additional Customer Experience behavioral guideline applicable to the role.

• Grade 12 certificate
• Degree in Business Administration or Sales Marketing

• 5 years face-to-face sales experience
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets
• Organizational awareness (structure, products and services)
• Express distribution industry experience
