JOB DETAILS:
ZICTA is looking to employ a Spectrum Monitoring Engineer who will be responsible for monitoring the effective utilization of the Radio spectrum, and to carrying out all incidental duties for the full realization of this job purpose.

Key Responsibilities
•Performs site inspections for new spectrum applications and carries out technical analysis.
•Carries out physical inspections of radio communication installations and submit reports to Regional Manager.
•Ensures users of radio communication apparatuses adhere to applicable rules and regulations.
•Conducts physical inspection on all radio installations to ensure compliance to the technical standards and ensures applicable punitive measures are enforced on non-complying users.
•Conducts Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analysis.
•Carries out interference analysis of new radio equipment sites and be able to use existing software to perform interference and coverage analysis.
•Conducts spectrum monitoring in accordance with the monitoring
plans and prepares reports on radio spectrum utilization.
•Measures and analyses radio spectrum usage to support withdrawal and reallocation of radio spectrum.
•Stays abreast with what is currently obtaining in the radio spectrum with the Automated Spectrum Management System database.
•Oversees maintenance works on all monitoring sites.
•Investigates and resolves reported cases of harmful interference
•Investigates illegal radio stations to prevent harmful interference to existing licensed radio stations and takes necessary steps to resolve interference among spectrum users.
•Updates all Radio Spectrum Monitoring and Management System databases.
•Performs spectrum occupancy tests on any given band.
•Processes cyber complaints and produce reports that relate to cybercrimes.
•Takes down social media incident statistics for easy identification of social media crime trends.
•Facilitates the process of receiving digital forensic cases and forwarding them to Headquarters.
•Contributes effectively to the development and implementation of provincial Budget.
•Carries out other related duties as directed by supervisor
