Invitation for Bids

Tender No.ZRL/OIB/DISP/001/2021 - Tender for the Sale of Obsolete Six (6) GT Locomotives, Six (6) U20C Locomotives and Two (2) U15C Locomotives.

Zambia Railways Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise whose mandate is to provide mail freight and passenger transportation services in Zambia It is a company incorporated in Zambia and having its registered offices in Kabwe.

Zambia Railways Limited now invites scaled bids from eligible bidders for the Tender for the sale of Obsolete Six (6) GT locomotives, Six (6) U20Clocomotives and Two (2) U15C locomotives

Interested bidders may inspect the bidding documents from 08:00 hours to 13:00 hours and 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours from Monday to Friday from the office of the Manager Procurement, Top Office, Comer of Ghana and Buntungwa Avenue Bidders may purchase the document at a non-refundable foe of ZMW 1000,00 or any freely convertible currency

Submission Procedure

Appropriately bound, sealed and clearly marked bids may be addressed to the Manager Procurement Top Office, Comer of Ghana and Buntungwa Avenue, PO Box 80935, Kabwe, Zambia and must be received not later than Friday 10 September, 2021 at 10:00 hours local time and must be accompanied by the following information

• Certificate of Incorporation,
• Valid Tax Clearance,
• Power of attomey
• Proof of Purchase of the bidding document,
• Litigation Status, and
• Bid security of 2% of the bid sum

However, electronic offers will not be accepted.

Any bids received after the time and date stipulated above will not be accepted. The bids will be opened soon after closing in the Board room, at Top Office. Comer of Ghana and Buntungwa Avenue in the presence of the bidders or their representative who may choose to attend.
