JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Mulungushi International Conference Centre (MICC) Limited invites applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following vacant position.
POSITION-HEAD CHEF (1)
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
Head Chef is to provide high-level quality of culinary production in all the F & B outlets. Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources with food cost percentage below 35%. Provide and continuously delight the customer by offering trendsetting and innovative products and services. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Head Chef is in charge of Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting and Costing for the Food production section.
• Plan and design menus for the various Banquets as per client’s request.
• Supervision of production staff and scheduling of the section and allocation of duties on daily activities.
• Facilitate learning and development for all production team members of the section.
• Train production staff on trending cookery technics.
• Ensure that the department procures the best quality raw material and cost-effective equipment in conjunction with the procurement department.
• Set targets and appraise staff in the section.
• Ensure that all the operational standards set for all the equipment’s and processes are followed.

JJob Qualifications
• Grade Twelve Certificate
• Certificate in Food Production
• Diploma in Hotel Management will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs
• Five (5) years’ work experience in a 3 to 5-Star hotel.
