Our client, a leading Bank, is looking for a Relationship Officer, Commercial Banking to join their team
Responsibilities
Sales and Relationship Management
• Manage local relationships for assigned portfolios under Branch Manager/Relationship Manager and/or Head Commercial Bank guidance and supervision.
• Manage the in-country relationship for the Agency or assigned portfolios to ensure the smooth running of the account.
• Implement any improvements agreed to on a local level.
• Regularly review Agency, Branch or assigned portfolio performance.
• Support the Branch Manager/Head Commercial Bank on implementing customer agreed global strategy.
• Attain targeted sales goals, performance targets and customer satisfaction through the effective management of resources.
• Delivery of sales, revenue, deposit, risk asset, targets and efficiency ratio.
• Together with Branch Manager, review Accounts Plans for all networked customers with a view to enhancing business volumes and earnings.
• Conduct joint sales with Branch Manager/Relationship Manager and product team with emphasis on cross selling to increase wallet share for the bank.
• Ensure that client instructions are duly affected by applying all standard checks and controls in coordination with other departments.
• Maintain target market, customers, product and service discipline.
• Prepare and deliver on approved branch/agency budgets.
• Deliver on customer service standards, acquisition and client satisfaction levels, retention of high performing clients and growing share of wallet as per target market.
• Analyse sales and retention processes, identify and monitor new business opportunities through the analysis of MIS and industry and local knowledge.
• Responsible for strict cost management including review of both direct and indirect costs generated by the assigned branch/Agency. Achieve a cost/income ratio in branch of ......
• Establish relationships with key clients and business influencers in the local community.
• Track and maintain branch/Agency performance records including sales tracker, deposits, risk assets, provisions, incomes, costs and all relevant performance indicators on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis including reconciliation with financial control.
Business Development
• Implement marketing strategies to develop existing portfolio and develop new opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and provide with products and services to satisfy clients’ needs and achieve business objectives.
• Develop executive contact plan and arrange meetings with appropriate Branch Managers/Relationship Managers/HODs
• Prepare and agree with Branch Manager/Head Commercial Bank on local accounts plan as well as appropriate credit grade and maximize returns in line with business strategy.
Credit Process, Control and Operational Performance
• Assess risk and business strategies of local subsidiary associates/affiliate and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all credit transactions comply with the spirit and the letter of all applicable laws, regulations and institutional policies.
• Overall responsibility for risk and compliance issues in order to achieve domestic bank targets.
• Facilitate the investigation and reporting of Fraud and Loss cases together with Internal Controls.
• Achieve minimum ARR rating of ‘Acceptable’
• Ensure no loss of valued local Commercial Bank business relationships.
• Keep Branch Manager/Head Commercial regularly appraised of any local development that may impact credit standing of the group.
• Ensure full adherence to Operational Risk and Compliance guidelines e.g. KYC and anti-money laundering measures.
• Constantly monitor credit portfolio to ensure maximum of 3% NPL.
Customer Excellence
• Handle client queries of day to day nature and assist in resolving client’s problems within the Ownership of escalated customer queries/complaints and resolutions process.
• Ensure customer queries are recorded, reviewed for delivery and put in place an action plan to prevent re- occurrence.
• Achieve minimum of 5 products per customer and wallet share targets.
• Achieve minimum customer satisfaction rating of ‘very satisfied’.
• Achieve minimum of 75% of customers registered for eAlert, SMS Alert, eStatement and active cards.
• Engage all customers who want to close their accounts because of poor service in order to find the root cause and attempt to retain the customer.
Leadership and People Management
• Track and provide weekly reports on Portfolio performance at RM level
• Team Player
• Participate and implement the bank’s transformation plan within the branch/Agency.
• Provide cover for other team members when necessary.
• Provide honest feedback on performance of colleagues.
• Share knowledge and best practice with team members and other branch managers.

• Lead strategic initiatives that will create business growth

Qualifications
• At least 2-5 years’ sales experience with good sales track record preferably in Commercial Banking.
• Ability to interact and negotiate with the client organization at the Local decision-making level
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration// BS in Banking, Marketing or related field of study
• Fluent in Chinese
