Overview
JSI implements the USAID DISCOVER-Health project to support the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the provision of quality health services and products. The project’s aim is to improve the lives of Zambians by ensuring equitable access to and use of high-quality HIV, maternal, new-born, and child health (MNCH), family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) services, COVID-19 vaccination, prevention and treatment, and products at the district and community levels. The project utilizes and sustains a health model that maximizes the relative strengths of the public and private sectors to deliver health products and services that reach all beneficiaries and consumer markets.
Jsi Usaid Discover health Project is recruiting for the following position:
Position : Digital Technical Advisor
Category: Full time
Location: Head Office, Lusaka
Reporting: Director Programs, Prevention and Behavioral Interventions
Main Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Digital Advisor will include:
• Develop a DISCOVER-Health digital strategy framework to guide programme implementation.
• Design digital media campaigns aligned with DISCOVER-Health programme focus areas, in line with trends in the market and trending with target audiences
• Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts) with creative agencies.
• Generate and analyse insight reports reflecting different social media KPIs, demographics, dynamic listening; sentiment analysis with lessons learned and suggested action points for future digital campaigns
• Understand trends in the digital market
• Lead media monitoring efforts and their linkage with SBC interventions in conjunction with Media Monitoring agency
• Work on internal DISCOVER-Health monthly dashboards to help monitor implementation of digital framework
• Any other related work as requested by the supervisor
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelors degree in design, computer science; design; social sciences or relevant field
• At least three/ four years of experience in strategic digital content creation
• Have experience working in public health, NGOs or the social sector
• Experience with applying research that creates insights into end-user actions, thoughts and behaviours to inform programme implementation
• Have experience with search engine optimisation
• Experience with media monitoring; media buying; digital media strategy development
• A knowledge of human-centred design/ user-centred approaches is an added advantage
• Proficiency with design and presentation applications (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.)
• Highly organised and self-motivated
• Creativity, flexibility and ability to work within deadlines
• Excellent communication skills;
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Maturity, initiative, tact and a high sense of responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team
