Company Overview
260 Brands is a newly incorporated entity, currently part of an integrated value chain that supports smallholder farmers. Its existing operations include milling white maize as well as bio-fortified Vitamin A maize to produce maize grits and breakfast meals. The name 260 originates from Zambia’s telephone code domain, with a vision to support Zambia and Zambian agricultural value chains by promoting regional trade.
Job purpose
Reporting to the Operations Manager, he/she will play a critical role to ensure the setting up and adjusting of factory equipment are done on time. Our company will count on him/her to keep our manufacturing equipment clean and looking great. .

Key responsibilities
• Adjust, calibrate and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
• Examine visually, weigh and measure components created from equipment at the end of the week to ensure machines are producing according to company and industry regulations and standards, making adjustments as needed.
• Work with team members, shift supervisors, and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.
• Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions, and take care of them as they come up.
• Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses, and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment on a bimonthly basis.
• Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken, or worn-out components.
• Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.

Key Qualifications & Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent GCE completion
• Two years of manufacturing or machine operation experience
• Industry experience in food processing, distribution, or manufacturing is a plus
• At least two years of experience in a production workspace
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to read measurements
• Well-organized and history of showing initiative
• Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations
