Finance Manager – General Ledger (6 Months Contract)
Overview
The primary role of the Finance Manager is to be responsible for the maintenance of the Company’s general ledger and the timely preparation of financial statements and related schedules. He/She oversees and coordinates the daily activities of invoice recording and payment processing of vendors’ invoices, request for payments, and reimbursements.

Reporting To: Cfo
Supervision Of: Accounts Team
Interacts With: Management, Team, Stakeholders

Job Description
• Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting records through regular review of the Information in GL accounts
• Responsible for Coordination of all Balance sheet reconciliations
• Payroll reconciliations
• Management and posting of provisions journals
• Supervision of procurement function
• Intercompany Reconciliations
• Ensuring that all intercompany balances maintained are reconciled and agreed with counter parties
• Vendor management booking of invoices
• Insurance for business risks and assets
• Managing Management Information Systems (SAGE 300)
• Ensuring recharges are done on time
• Ensuring that payments are made as agreed with counter parties

Candidate Specification
Experience: 4 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Full Grade 12 certificate, ACCA, CIMA or Degree in Accounting from a reputable University
Software: Sage Pastel
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Financial Management, Accounting and Business Management
Skills To: Persuasiveness and negotiating skills/ Analysis/problem solving skills
Ability To: Ability to plan and manage people
