Working in Zambia since 1996, Plan International Zambia’s development and capacity building programmes focus primarily on Education, Health, Water and Sanitation, Economic Security and Youth Empowerment, including Child Protection and Participation. Plan International Zambia has programme areas (PAs) in; Central, Luapula, and Eastern Provinces including in Lusaka, where the Country Office is located
We are looking for experienced, vibrant and self-starters to fill the following Temporal positions in Nchelenge;
PROJECT MANAGER X 1, (NCHELENGE) – 7 MONTHS CONTRACT
Position Description:
The Project Manager under the Education can’t Wait (EcW) Project will have the overall responsibility for project implementation and will be responsible for general technical oversight and provide leadership in implementation of the project. The Project Manager will report to the Program Area Manager- Luapula. .

Responsibilities:
• Manage the Project Coordinator and other staff to ensure weekly work plans are developed and implemented.
• Represent Plan International Zambia during Inter-agency meetings in Mantapala Refugee Settlement.
• Coordinate and oversee the development of Plan International Zambia’s annual project work plan, ensuring it meets the requirements of the Donor and Internal Accounting System.
• Develop the monthly, quarterly and other required project reports by ensuring they are timely and of high quality.
• Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding children and young people and Gender Equality and Inclusion (EGI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant implementation standards and guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility.
• Identify key risks within the area of operation and put in appropriate control measures to manage them\.
• Participate in baseline assessments, midterm reviews and project evaluations to ensure that assessment tools & data collection procedures are gender sensitive


Qualifications:
• Degree in Education, Social Sciences or other related studies.
• Three (3) years working experience in the field of Education.
• Five (5) years experience in project management, leadership and supervisory experience, with at least three (3) years involvement in community engagement and behavioral changes.
• Experience working in an INGO/NGO environment, preferred
• Experience in managing relationships with various stakeholders
• Experience in writing donor reports.
