Responsibilities:
CS Core Network Commissioning and Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the following:
1. Responsible for MSC/MGW/HLR/HSS/SBC commissioning, cut-over, capacity expansion, upgrade, etc.;
2. Responsible for the post-maintenance and troubleshooting of MSC/MGW/HLR/HSS/SBC , and provide technical communication and technical support to customers;
3. Responsible for handling complaints in a timely manner, solving various problems, and improving customer satisfaction;
4. Responsible for guiding users’ on-site use and routine maintenance, and guiding users to use the equipment correctly;
5. Maintain good communication with customers, collect and sort out the feedback required by customers to the person in charge of the project;

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. A degree or above, with a major in electronics, communications, computer, and related work for more than one year;
2. Familiarity with MSC/MGW/HLR/HSS/SBC equipment and should understand equipment parameters, KPI and other configurations .
3. Experience in MSC/MGW/HLR/HSS/SBC core network optimization is an advantage.
4. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues .
5 . Qualifications in CCNA, CCNP and other certifications is an advantage.

Position reports to: Instrumentation Supervisor

Purpose
The Instrumentation Mechanician will be responsible to perform allocated and specific tasks, given by Supervisor, that ensure the Availability and Operational efficiency of all the installed Field Instrumentation throughout the Smelter, and Specific Areas; in order to minimize / reduce Production Down Time and also ensuring that all Process Parameters are Effectively Functioning as per the Smelter Design and Operation.
The Instrumentation Mechanician can be required to perform Shift Work, Standby, and Call-Outs, as per the required key responsibilities and other Tasks issued by either the Control & Instrumentation Superintendent, Senior Supervisor and the respective Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
• This position will be required to adhere to all relevant Requirements, Policies, Procedures and Legal Regulations pertaining to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, , and any other Regulations as required by the Company and relevant to the level of the role and Responsibilities of the Function.
• Instrumentation Maintenance of the Specific Allocated Instrumentation in his Area of Responsibility, including the following:
o Installations, Fault Finding and Replacement of Instrumentation Equipment in area of responsibility – ensuring that both Company and Vendor Safety and Quality standards are adhered to, whilst ensuring minimum disruption to the Process Plant Operation or Production.
o Perform Fault Analysis / Fault Finding / Root Cause Analysis in order to Eliminate Re-Occurrences of Repetitive Faults and improve Process Efficiency and Equipment.
o Have an Understanding of the Control Narratives of the Processing Plant in relation to the Instrumentation Equipment installed and ability to Operate / Configure / Set-Up installed Instrumentation Equipment adequately, taking following requirements into consideration – Safe Work Permits, Risk Assessments, and Simulation, and Bypass of Operational Loops.
o Adherence to the Company Planned and Preventative Maintenance Schedules in Area of Responsibility and all Safe Operating and Equipment Procedures Procedures.
o Execute all Instrumentation Maintenance Schedules in area of Responsibility and focus on effective Communication with respect to Maintenance Works Orders and keep Back Log to the Minimum, and following correct Engineering Standards w.r.t Maintenance, and Inspection Schedules.
o Keeping Record / Compile of all Instrumentation Log Sheets in Area of Responsibility and Provide Adequate / End of Shift Feedback to Direct Line Managers.
o Ensure the Correct and Safe Usage of all Workshop Tools and PPE. Apply and Practice Correct and Safe Working / Operating Principles and Standards during all Instrumentation Maintenance Tasks and Comply / Adhere to all Safe Working / Operating Procedures.
o Participate as a Team player in the Instrumentation Section and Comply with all KMP and Smelter Health and Safety Requirements.
o Interact, and liaise with Senior Supervisors ( Instrumentation ), Instrumentation Supervisors, Control Systems Specialists, Instrumentation Specialists in order to provide a Full Range of Instrumentation Services / Support to Production, Processing Team, other Engineering Teams.
o Have the ability to Setup, Calibrate, Configure and Maintain a wide variety of the latest Field Instrumentation related to Processing Plants.
o Conduct Shift or Regular Inspection of the Plant Instrument Equipment, to gather fresh information as basis in creating Work Schedules with Preventative Measures in mind, and assist the Supervisor w.r.t Inspections and Schedules.
o Contribute through Effective Work Practises and OEM requirements, an environment, where a cultivating, nurturing mind set is created toward continues improvement of processes and equipment.
o Always ensure that proper and appropriate House Keeping is applied, and adhered to; and after every Fault Finding Process, the area of work is cleaned, and neatened up to the Smelter Instrument Standards. And all Specialized Tools and Equipment, are looked after and cleaned and stored appropriately.
o Aligning, and Adherence to the Call-Out / Breakdown Procedure – where all Major Equipment Failures are Reported immediately to the Control & Instrumentation Superintendent and also proper Feedback on the Progress of the Breakdown Task together with a proper auditable Root Cause Analysis.
• Vendor and Contract Management of the Instrumentation Section, including:
o Ensure Adequate Record Keeping of all Company and Vendor related Documentation; when required by Direct Line Managers.
• Resource Management of the Instrumentation Section, including:
o Ensure that Good Work Ethics is sustained by Effectively Discipline with reference to Absenteeism, Lateness, Overtime, Misconduct, etc. within the section.
o Appropriate Leave Planning in conjunction with the Direct Line Managers.
• Other Duties, as per Instruction from Control & Instrumentation Superintendent, Senior Supervisor and the respective Supervisor.
Qualifications
• Minimum Requirement, is a Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, for this role.
Experience
• A Minimum Requirement of 2 years, as an Instrumentation Mechanician, or Technician, within a Pyrometallurgical Metallurgical Processing or Metallurgical Processing Operation.

The Road Development Agency (RDA) is a statutory body whose function is to plan, manage and coordinate the road network in the country. The Agency is responsible for care, maintenance and construction of public roads in Zambia. Planning And Design Directorate
Engineer Highway Management System (1 Position) Head Office
(i) Job Purpose

Reporting to the Principal Engineer HMS, the Engineer HMS will be responsible for updating the Highway management System with data, analysing data entries into the system, road condition surveys and preparation of technical and other planning documentations.

(ii) Key Responsibilities and result areas
• Assist in the Manage the Zambia Highway Management System and assist in Road Asset Management
• Analyse, monitor and manage current road management systems and traffic flow systems using Design Highways software packages such as AutoCAD, Geographical Information System (GIS);
• Strategize highway / traffic improvements so that they satisfy local authorities expectations; cost effective, fit for purpose and environmentally sustainable;
• Prepare road strategic plans for maintenance and development works through the use of Zambia Highway Management Highway Management System (ZMHS).
• Liaise with Local Road Authorities and strategize ways in which road systems can be improved;
• Monitor and ensure the timely completion of all road conditions surveys, traffic surveys, pavement inventory surveys.
• Check data validation and ensure correctness of collected data.
• Prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for highways schemes;
• Ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence;
• Ensure the designs produced meet the design briefs set by the Delivery Teams and monitor;
• Assist in the delivery of large and complex highways schemes;
• Assist in Strategic, Tactical and Programme Planning of the core road network
• Provide highways advice for the disciplines to deliver the programmes and budgets agreed;
• Provide Professional and Technical Excellence in highway engineering; and
• Programming and coding knowledge will be an added advantage.

(iii) Qualifications and Attributes
• Grade 12 Certificate
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and or Geomatic Engineering;
• Registered Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia;
• Ability to multitask;
• Must have a dynamic, pro-active approach with excellent communication skills;
• Must be Computer Literate.
• Knowledge in Geographical Information System (GIS) modules and spatial analysis of the core road network will be an added advantage.

(ii) Key Responsibilities and result areas
• Prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables pavement design;
• Review designs to ensure they meet the prescribed standard specifications;
• Review and ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence;
• Allocate tasks to other members of the Design Team and monitor progress;
• Assist in the provision of road pavement advice for other disciplines;
• Design and construct activities to deliver the outcomes agreed to programmes and budget;
• Provide Professional and Technical advise in road pavement engineering;
• Understand the condition of the road pavement asset and identify areas where it needs improvement;

Reporting to the Principal Engineer Survey/Geomatic, the Engineer Survey/Geomatic will be responsible for carrying out measurements and topographic surveys and interpret data for road design construction including information about boundaries, buildings and both natural and man-made features.

(ii) Key Responsibilities and result areas
• Undertake land topographic surveys using a variety of specialist technical equipment
• Analyze data for the geometric design of roads using the appropriate computer software such as AUTOCAD and CIVIL 3D
• Develop and document automated, semi-automated, and manual editing tools and associated processes
• Gain and maintain modern best practice coding skills for road design and construction
• Proactively adhere to the quality policies set forth by the Agency
• Participate as needed in development meetings with stakeholders and customers

(iii) Qualifications and Attributes
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying/ Geomatic Engineering;
