• Eastern Tropical Fruits Limited (“ETF” or the “Company”) is a greenfield project that that is owned by Zambia Fruit Company, a subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (“IDC”), and VitaPlus Foods Limited. The Company is located in Katete District of the Eastern Province and
• seeks to establish bulk agricultural infrastructure that facilitates national food production while adding value for local and export markets. As part of its growth strategy, ETF is hereby seeking to employ suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following positions:

Job Purpose
• Installations and repairing of electrical components connected to the machines.
• Wiring systems and fixtures in the buildings.
• Maintaining, repairing, and adjusting pumps and pump control systems including VFDs, soft starts, and pump control valves.
• Design, install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot communication systems, electrical control systems and industrial electrical panels.
• Create and maintain schematics, and diagrams; read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Design and install electrical systems; run conduit, pull, and size wire, and components.
• Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain power generation systems including generators.
• Installation of new electrical equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards.
• Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations.
• Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environment regulations.
• Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy.
• Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
• Installation of circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and wiring them.
• Testing electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Inspecting electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
• Ensuring that all maintenance and high voltage switching is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, to assure maximum reliability and uptime.
• Installation of safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.).
• Breakdown prevention in the systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
• Three (3) years’ work experience in similar position.
• Member of EIZ.

Overall Mission of the Role:
• This position will ensure conveyor belts maintenance is done in a safe and effective manner according to laid down procedures to facilitate smooth plant operations. The position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor

Main Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and repairs on conveyor belt systems in order to ensure improved is availability.
• Conducts daily routine conveyor belts inspections and reports on findings to the supervisor daily.
• Does scaffolding erection and/or dismantling whenever called upon to do so.
• Reports, through breakdown reports to superiors on cause of breakdown, remedy done and spares used.
• Ensures good and correct use of tools.
• Ensures place of work is left clean after repair/maintenance tasks.
• Test-runs completed work to ascertain quality of repair and safe running of machinery concerned.
• Communicates materials/spares needed to the supervisor in charge of the particular area by compiling a list of the materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Required:
• Minimum of Mechanical Artisan Craft Certificate.
• Certificate of competency in making conveyor belts joints.
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in a process industry.
• Member of EIZ

• This position will ensure scaffolding erection and dismantling is done in a safe and effective manner according to standard way of scaffolding installation to facilitate smooth plant operations. The position will report to the Mechanical Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and repairs to plant equipment in order to ensure equipment is available, reliable and safe to operate utilizing at least three of the following skills such as rigging, fitting and others.
• Carries out scaffolding erection and dismantling as per maintenance scheduling and using job plans.
• Ensures good and correct use of tools.
• Ensures place of work is left clean after repair/maintenance tasks.
• Carries out pre-planned/preventive maintenance work involving proper storage of scaffolding material and replacement of worn out and broken components.
• Inspects erected scaffolding to ensure it conforms to the standards.
• Reports any defective/damaged scaffolding components to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of Mechanical Artisan Craft Certificate.
• Certificate of competency in Scaffolding erection and dismantling.

Purpose
• This position exists on maximize plant availability through maintaining the operational integrity of the fixed plant equipment, in order to achieve production targets. This position is also responsible for providing the highest quality services and ensuring all services provided, are performed in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out planned maintenance jobs as per OEM Standard and work order completion.
• Perform a high standard in machining, milling, and boring (as required by a workshop environment).
• Maintain excellent customer relations through frequent communication.
• Prepare accurate service and repair reports in a timely manner.
• Be a self-starter and able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of co-workers.
• Be accurate, methodical, practical, and safety-conscious when using workshop equipment and tools.
• Compliance with safe working standards and documents such as JSA’s, Work Procedure, SWI’s, etc. in the rebuild workshop.

• Assist in the proactive identification of repair and maintenance works required, which includes raising work requests.
• Ensure that all completed work orders are closed out with accurate time confirmations and be able to assist in compiling service and repair reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure work relations are followed through frequent communication with other parties involved.
• Ensure that all tools, plant, and equipment are kept in good condition, meet required safety standards, and are available for use when required.
• Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
• Repair and service all plant equipment to the established requirements.
• Any other duties, as per instruction from direct line supervisor.

Qualifications
• G12 Certificate
• A Craft certificate as a machinist fitter and turner from a recognized Zambian institution [higher qualifications will be advantageous].
• A valid Zambian light vehicle driving license.
• Troubleshooting abilities on various types of pumps, gearboxes, and various types of valves (experience in hydraulics and cyclones will be advantageous).
• Machining workshop experience in crushing, milling, flotation, tailings, reagents, and water services (with preference given to fixed plant experience).
• Experience/knowledge to operate forklifts, man-lifts and overhead cranes will be advantageous.
• Engineering workshop machining, with the preference of fixed plants (Engineering) will be advantageous.
• The ability to measure and read Engineering detail drawings.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.

Experience
• 3 years experience in the mining maintenance industry or equivalent private industry as a qualified Artisan Machinist.
