ROLE:
We are searching for a bold and conscientious Loan and Collections Officer to process our loans, contact defaulters on loans and work with them to develop plans to pay those debts back. Our Credit officers go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the credit lending process

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
• Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
• Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them
Prepare presentations for the Credit Risk Committee to review and authorise
• Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services

Maintain and update Loan management system records
• Assess customer needs, explore all options, and introduce different types of loans
• Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to accomplish quotas
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
• Review the company debtor list.
• Contact customers and informing them of their overdue bills.
• Advise customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.
• Negotiate suitable payment plans.
• Maintain customer payment records in our Loan Management System.
• Write notice warnings to customers when payments are not being made.
• Respond to customer queries.
• Knowledge of payment plans and debt recording procedures
• Versatile and able to get involved in other company operations

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a similar field.
• Valid driving license is an added advantage
• Previous experience working as a Loans and Collections Officer (+1 years)
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Confident and brave personality to approach and work with disagreeable defaulters
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Patience and resilience

Main Duties
a) Keep a high level of knowledge of existing products and services.
b) Market Loans for organization and ensure optimal level of customer service
c) Educate customer on Loan products and services
d) Participate in sales campaigns to meet targets
e) Establish relationships with new clients
f) Assist in the search of potential clients
g) Process client account opening in line with policy
h) Monitor all customer queries and ensure timely response to all issues.
i) Coordinate with customers and provide various company plans and services and detail quote for required information; maintain and update knowledge on all company products and services.

Qualifications and Experience
a) Must have a grade 12 certificate
b) A certificate of in any field will be added advantage
c) Marketing and sales experience.
d) Must be between 20-30 years
e) Knowledge of selling Loans will be added advantage
f) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
g) Must have a smart phone
h) Ability to take initiative and work independently
i) A confident and charismatic approach to people

To manage financial crime risk thus ensuring the bank can provide clients a wide product and service offering including cross boarder products and services. To assist and support the compliance function and the business in implementing a robust program for the prevention of Money laundering and countering terrorist financing as required by section 23 of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act No. 46 of 2010.

Experience and qualifications
• Minimum Qualification : Grade 12 Secondary School Certificate 5 credit passes including English and Mathematics
• Bachelors’ degree from a recognized institution of Higher Learning
 

• Experience : 1 to 2 years’ experience in Forex environment and/ or AML or KYC or Fraud Risk Management
