JOB DETAILS:
• The Ministry of Education is requesting for expression of interest for technical assistance services from individuals to support implementation of the school age nutrition project under the school health and nutrition programme
• Key Responsibilities The role of the Technical Assistant is to support the School Health & Nutrition Programme focusing on strengthening district capacity to implement the School Age Nutrition Project Implementation Research. This will focus on the provision of technical support in programming including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in the project areas. The TA will also help in identifying areas of the Nutrition school curriculum that require revision to ensure hands on and updating according to scientific developments and policy changes in the country.

Reporting to: Director School Health and Nutrition- MOE
Qualifications and Competencies

• A minimum of a master’s degree in Nutrition or related areas e.g. Education (Sciences), Public health, Home Economics, Food Science.

Work Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in the field of nutrition or education that includes progamme management (Programming, Planning, implementation, Monitoring and evaluation) at national or provincial level. Field experience at district level desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordination of a project.
• Experience in behavioral change programmes will be an added advantage.
• Experience/Participation in curriculum development review,
• Knowledge experience in working with computers including Ms. Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in Data analysis using SPSS, STATA or R.

JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a Medical receptionist for a new Private ENT Clinic being established in Olympia area of Lusaka.

Responsibilities
• Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
• Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients.
• Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment, and maintenance repairs.
• Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Perform all duties within HPCZ regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information.
• Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
• Liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
• Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
• Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
• Ensure that stock levels are adequate and orders are made timeously.
• Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.

• 1+ years of experience working as an administrative assistant or in a relevant role

The Tropical Diseases Research Centre and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Healthy Learners will conduct a study to understand the feasibility of implementing school-based vaccination checks to identify and vaccinate children with missing vaccination doses. The results of this study will help inform the government policy on school immunization programs in Zambia and the rest of the world. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons who are self-motivated and result oriented to fill the following vacancies:

Principal Scientific Officer (Medical Doctor)
Qualifications
• Full Grade Twelve or Form Five Certificate
• MBChB or MBBS with at least ten (10) years practicing experience
• PhD in Clinical Epidemiology/Clinical Trials/Public Health/Medical Sciences
• Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia(HPCZ) and holder of a valid practicing license.
• Registered Health Researcher with the National Health Research Authority

Experience Requirements
• Minimum ten(10) years at senior level in medical scientific research
• Demonstrated ability to initiate/practice in collaborative research
• Must demonstrate experience in strategic planning, project planning, development, execution and evaluation
• Demonstrate research experience and leadership as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journals/reviewer of proposals/research grants
• Experience in supervision of scientists and ability to mobilise resources and establish sustainable working relations with national and international research and funding organizations

Main Duties
• To carry out research and other assignments as directed by the Head of Department or the Director
• To formulate and write research proposals including clinical trials
• To supervise or facilitate and take part in data collection, carry out data analysis and report writing
