JOB DETAILS:
The Office of the Public Protector is an independent oversight institution operationalized by the Public Protector Act No. 15 of 2016. The Office is headed by the Public Protector who is a Constitutional Office holder as provided for under Article 243 of the Constitution of Zambia. The institution is entrusted with the mandate to promote and safeguard the interests and rights of an individual in
his or her quest to receive a “public service” that is just and fair. The Office of the Public Protector ensures compliance to laid down administrative procedures, practices and ethics and initiate corrective action in public institutions in order to enhance effective administration.
 


The Office invites applications from suitably qualified members of the Public for the following positions:
1. Assistant Administrators (5) – Northern Province, Copperbelt Province, Eastern Province, Western Province, Southern Province
Salary Scale: G

Purpose:
To undertake the provision of secretarial and administrative services in order to enhance the operations of the Provincial office.

Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to the following:
• Perform basic Secretarial and Administrative functions such as, managing the daily, weekly and monthly diary, arranging meetings, Typing, faxing, copying and filling of documents.
 

• Handle basic financial administration, procurement and personnel administration matters in the Province
• Capturing Cases/Complaints in the Master list
• Disseminate files
• Prepare and disseminate memos
• Compilation of weekly/monthly/quarterly statistics
• Develop and maintain a filing system
• Undertake Receptionist duties
• Handle the maintenance and acquisition of equipment
• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications Required
• Diploma in Secretarial Studies, Public Administration, Public Management, Business Management or related field
• Full Grade 12 or Full Form V with five Credit or better
• One (1) year experience

JOB DETAILS:
Background:
Quantum Foods Operates a broiler and layer Breeder business (selling day -old chicks) and table egg business. In Lusaka, there is a parent breeding facility and a feed mill. The breeding facility produces day -old pullets and day -old broiler chicks. Day – old pullets are supplied to the Chingola layer rearing farm as well as to the external market, while day -old broiler chicks are all sold. The table egg business, comprising a layer rearing farm, layer farm and feed mill is in the Copper belt. Both of these facilities sell feed to the external market.

Job specifications/responsibilities will include the following:
 

• Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Supervise and controlling loading of finish products.
• Perform regular stock take and daily counting during the Month and during the end of the year stock take, while conducting reconciliation in case of discrepancies during cycle count schedule.
• Reports on discrepancies.
• Follow and implement the approved daily counting schedule, so that discrepancies are identified and reconciled in timely manner.
• Daily counting schedule is followed and fully implemented
• Receiving and issuing packing material to production.
• Familiar with description (specification, unit of quantity, application) of material in order to perform accurate daily counting and stock taking.
• Knowledge of materials.
• Implement and maintain a filing system of the facts, discrepancies, and issues identified during the cycle counting or stock taking process in order to maintain accurate records that can be easily retrieved.
• Soundness of filing system

Requirements:
• 2-3 years related experience as a Stock Controller in production department.
• Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or Accounts Qualifications
• Previous experience work in production unit /Feed plant/ Milling company is an added advantage
