JOB DETAILS:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the below:
• Develop, install and maintain inspections and analytical procedures which include economical sampling plans aimed at determining the quality level of incoming and sub-contracted materials as well as finished products and ensures further compatibility of these procedures between the supplier and incoming inspection.
• Liaise with suppliers in order to establish quality certification plans based on adequate procedures and controls at the supplier’s premises in order to minimise on the cost of assuring quality of incoming materials.
• Establish and monitor systems for recording /documenting and reporting on supplier conformity to Novatek Animal Feeds quality and reliability requirements.
• Provides suppliers through purchasing with clear quality and reliability requirement and makes follow-ups to ensure supplier action meets these requirements.
• Utilize economic sampling plans and procedures to determine quality levels and allow the acceptance of satisfactory product.
• Provide both routine and special feedback and analysis inspection reports to ensure timely implementation of corrective action when and where necessary.
• Establishes and implements clear procedures for the disposal of downgraded or discrepant materials /products and quarantines and releases rejected /downgraded finished stock not adhering to established quality standards.
• Conduct verification checks on product quality through external sample testing
• Trains, motivates and develops subordinates in acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to meet their responsibilities;
• Assist the Systems Controller in auditing the food safety and quality systems

The Required Qualifications are:
• Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry and Food science or any related Agricultural

Qualification
• 2 years’ work in a laboratory environment;
• Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Pastel, Word, Powerpoint

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly energetic, committed and passionate Zambians for the position of Operator – Driller to join the versatile Mining team.

Duties
Your duties will include but not limited to the following
Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor you will be responsible for the drilling of blast holes on a scheduled shift and to maximize the hour drilling operations in a safe efficient manner.
• Identifying the risk in the work area and using the correct controls
• Report any unsafe potential conditions
• Reporting any defect to the maintenance and mine dispatch section
• Ensure environment risks of tasks are assessed and mitigated.
• Conduct prestart checks on the machine before commencing work
• Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must be able to interpret and implement drilling plans and ensure quality control is maintained throughout the drilling process
• Must be certified to operate Sandvik – D25k, D45k, DR560, Pantera, Epiroc – DML, T50
• Must have sound knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations
• Should be able to pass Psychometric/ Dover Test
• Proven ability to deliver results and act as change agent.

JOB DETAILS:
Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly energetic, committed and passionate Zambians for the position of Operator – Water Truck to join the versatile Mining team.

Duties
Your duties will include but not limited to the following
Reporting to the Supervisor – Load and Haul you will be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with Water Cart operation in mining load and haul section.
• Conduct prestart checks of the machine before commencing work
• Ensure the equipment is kept clean in all its interior and exterior components.
• Ensure the Machine is refueled in each shift.
• Dust suppression in the haul roads
• Work under the supervision of shift supervisors to maintain site safety standards
• Report all defects on the Machine to the maintenance and mine dispatch section.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Must have a Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role
• Must be certified to operate a Water Truck
• Should be able to pass Psychometric/ Dover Test
• Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations

JOB DETAILS:
Lumwana Mining Compactor seeks to recruit a highly energetic, committed and passion Zambians for the position of Operator – Compactor to join the versatile Mining team.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Projects, you will be responsible for daily operations of roads and dumps under Projects. Your duties will include but not limited to the following:
• Conduct prestart checks on the machine before commencing work
• Ensure effectiveness of haul roads by compacting to standard and focus on safety and productivity.
• Ensure all haul roads are smooth for possible operational and reduce tire damage
• Conduct daily machine operations in a safe and productive manner to meet LMC operating standard procedures.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures pertaining to equipment operations are followed.
• Responsible for safe and efficient operation of equipment during its mobility among the team and increase the tire life spine
• Actively promote, monitor, and participate in safe working practices.
• Identify risks in the work area and use of correct controls.
• Not attempting any task unless trained, capable and competent to safely perform the task.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
• Must have Full Grade 12 certificate
• At least 3 years of experience in continuous operations in a mining environment
• Ability to interpret standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and manuals
• Should be able to pass Psychometric/ Dover Test
• Good Communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-disciplined with good record on work attendance/ Disciplinary
• Certificate of service from any recognized organization will be an added advantage
