JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervision of IT Team
Coordinate the maintenance of IT systems
Oversee the execution of IT support to staff and external partners
Implement new IT processes and oversee the implementation of existing processes
Coordinate system changes with group software development team
Strategic Role: Recruitment and supervision of IT Team, identify IT risks and implement IT risks mitigation processes, coordinate the maintenance of IT Systems, oversee the execution of IT support to staff and external partners, implement new IT Processes and oversee the implementation of existing processes, coordinate system changes with group software development team
Data Administration: Managing data sources i.e. system databases, systems data and staff data, preparing DB queries and reports for staff and partners, prepare and manage the Management Information Systems (MIS), managing data management policies
Infrastructure and Network Management: manage a team that maintains the company’s core network and servers, core systems administration
Testin: managing a team that handles tests for the following: SMS and USSD Aggregation, EVD Integration testing, mobile banking integrations, merchant Payments integrations, deposits and withdrawals integrations, system enhancements by the development team
Banks and corporate customer’s support: assist the company’s banking partners with support for: mobile banking services IT support, SMS aggregation services, USSD aggregation services, merchant payments services

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Experience: 5 years plus
Education Level: Degree
Qualifications: Computer Science Degree or equivalent
Software: MS Office
Equipment: Job related
Knowledge Of: Software development, IT policies, Infrastructure and Network Management, Data Administration
Skills To: Maintain sufficient support levels for both banking partners, customers and fellow staff members. Quick to attend to queries
Ability To: Monitor team performance, check systems performance, execute of IT policies, ensure efficiency of IT support system, adhere to agreed system uptimes of company IT systems
Other Requirements: Able to work weekends, holidays and after hours as the system calls. Clean criminal and employment record

Job Purpose
The Senior IT Coordinator will work with the IT Senior Manager and will be responsible for planning, exploring and maintenance of technology resources for maximum efficiency and productivity of the organisation.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating systems.
• Plan, design and implement the information technologies.
• Generate an effective plan to achieve the set target.
• Recognize the objective and generate a vision for the members of the team.
• Aim for enhancing the productivity of the firm.
• Coordinating the activities of the team office to guarantee maximum efficiency.
• Recognize the client’s requirements to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Manage the technical team within the technical services operations.
• Provide training and mentorship to the technical members of the company.
• Recruit team members and provide them with the necessary training to deliver the expectations of the technical department.
• Ensure company commitments to the customer are achieved from technical compliance and SLA perspective.
• Manage relationships with ICT suppliers both locally and internationally.
• Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information for appropriate and timely decision-making.

Qualification and Experience
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Must have any professional technical/ certifications in line with the ICT profession
• Must have 5+ years of work experience of 2 years which must have been at a supervisor/senior level or holding a similar role.
• Must have full knowledge of Network/System maintenance and IT Operations which support Network/System Management, IP Network Administration and Security Appliance Management.
• Should have proven expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing the firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, installation, and configuration of Windows servers and their roles.
• Must have sound knowledge of IT Governance Standards
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Work experience in the FMCG or Telecoms sector will be a plus
