We have recently launched a logistics company that rents cars from car owners and matches them to drivers looking for work. We work with well respected taxi/ride-hail apps to match our drivers to customers seeking lifts/trips.
Our drivers are on salaries, and car owners are paid rent by us for their cars.

The job:
You will be a driver in our growing fleet of cars servicing our various customers. We work with international platforms such as ride hail apps.
1) Base pay of ZMW4000/month

Avencion is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Procurement Officer, tenable in Lusaka.
• Ensuring that procurement of project needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Closely liaise with and provide all necessary assistance to the Finance, Admin and Human Resources (FAHR) department in planning and executing assigned office procurements.
• Responsible for ensuring that all contract-specified grants related regulatory requirements (USG) Avencion procurement regulatory requirements are met in a satisfactory and professional manner.
• Generating and tracking Local Purchase Orders (LPO) for requesting vendors and liaise with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to ensure that the project always has the most current and up to date VAT Exempt LPO booklet.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders to ensure efficient and timely completion of all procurements in line with the approved specifications and budget allocations.
• Participate in procurement evaluations to ensure compliance with Avencion procurement guidelines as well as adherence to USG procurement policies.
• Assisting the project procurement process on all levels, including paperwork, purchasing, and providing periodic status reports to the FAHR Team, Procurement Committee
• Preparing weekly procurement cycle update reports for internal sharing with user departments.
• Initiating and maintaining an up-to-date procurement tracker at all times of all service contracts for smooth office operations.
• Guarantees that grant related and solicitation-based procurement files are maintained in a current and complete manner and are always audit-ready.
• Ensures that activities and procurement-related deliverables related to projects are achieved on schedule, in accordance with approved specifications and within the allocated budget.
• Assisting with proper tagging of equipment and project-related deliverables in accordance with USG & Avencion regulations and in consultation with the FAHR Team &Procurement Committee
• Ensuring that the vendors or contractors fully comply with the project, USG, or contracts terms and conditions.
• Assisting in preparing request for quotations (RFQ)/request for proposals (RFP), receive proposals, prepare spreadsheets for cost and tech evaluation documents.
• Creating opportunities for professional development for improved and enhanced staff performance.
• Perform other related tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned.

2. Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supply
• Grade 12 Certificate
• 2 years’ experience in the procurement and purchasing function
• Proven work experience working in a USAID funded project will added advantage
• Must posses a valid practicing license
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning suppliers and service providers
• Excellent negotiating skills.

Job Purpose
The Logistic Officer will be responsible for keeping the track of the materials which are shipped or received and also manage relations with various transporters. Managing and executing procurement, shipping, and receiving processes required to support the Company.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Evaluating, redesigning and implementing logistics processes for the company
• Participate in process reviews, staff meetings, and other logistics and procurement activities
• Be responsible for maintaining all the logistic or transportation-related records in any organisation.
• Ensure all trucks presented to dispatchers have a live status before loading and throughout the trip after loading.
• Ensure consistent utilization of the tracking system and proper interpretation of reports and results.
• Source and manage relations with transporters
• In the absence of the Admin Manager provide overall supervision and coordination of staff and activities in the procurement and logistics unit.
• Manage the pulling and packing of materials and arrange appropriate transportation.
• Oversee freight consolidation, cost analysis, routing and scheduling
• Maintaining inventory, ordering shipping materials, operating necessary equipment and managing warehouse staff.
• Review all processes and systems and design and implement new plans and procedures as needed.
• Manage logistics operations including all logistics assets in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure that procedures and respective regulations applicable to projects implemented on the base are closely followed.
• Co-ordinate and provide logistics support to ongoing air, land, sea or rail operations in the area;
• Take part in all driver/transporter toolbox meetings to share meaningful lessons on expectations as regards trip management requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
• Certificate or Advanced Certificate in CILT or CIPS
• 1-43years of work experience in Logistics/ Fleet Management
• Working experience with a Stationary or Manufacturing Company will be a plus
• Must be a member of CIPS/CILT/ZIPS
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in creating shipping/delivery routes and schedules
• Good experience in tracking shipment progress
• Must be a member of a relevant professional body (CIPS/CILT/ZIPS)

The National Assembly of Zambia invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates to fill the two (2) vacant positions of Assistant Procurement Officer.

• Respond efficiently to consolidated purchase requirements as directed by the supervisor;
• Prepare relevant solicitation documents for scrutiny by immediate supervisor,
• Source for quotations as directed by supervisor;
• Prepare price analysis for scrutiny by supervisor for further processing;
• Raise purchase orders as directed and process them according to procedure;
• Deliver local purchase orders, correspondence to suppliers and collect goods etc; • Assist in preparation of procurement committee documentation etc;
• Assist in evaluation of Bids as directed;
• Update local purchase orders registers, suppliers register and any other procurement registers etc;
• Liaise with the Stores on receipt of goods, deliveries from suppliers so as to enable effective expediting
• Expediting orders and monitoring timely delivery schedules; and
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisors or superiors.

• Grade 12 School Certificate, with a credit or better in English and four (4) other subjects;
• Advanced Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Purchasing and Supply;
• Membership to the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS); and Minimum of three (3) years working experience.

• Flexible, mature, sober minded and able to work long hours;
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate and meet deadlines;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; and
• Proficiency in MS Office.
