The Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) is a Humanitarian Organization established in 1966 by an Act of Parliament CAP 307 of the laws of Zambia as an auxiliary institution that augments government efforts in humanitarian assistance. ZRCS is part of the International Red Cross movement known as International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). In line with its mandate, ZRCS works with various actors in collaboration with Government of Zambia in responding to both man-made and natural disasters. In order to strengthen coordination and management of its Resource Mobilisation, ZRCS hereby invites applications from dynamic, qualified and experienced
individuals in related field to take up a positions of Resource Mobilisation Manager
POSITION: RESOURCE MOBILISATION MANAGER
REPORTING TO: DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL
WORKPLACE – BASED IN LUSAKA AT ZRCS HQ
EXPECTED DATE OF DEPLOYMENT: 1st February 2023
The Resource Mobilization Manager will be based at Headquarters, He/she will play a central role in defining resource mobilization strategies, identifying market opportunities, building relationships, strategically positioning Zambia Red Cross Society with potential funders and partners, strengthening country office capacity for resource mobilization, and responding to funding opportunities. The Resource Mobilization Manager will work closely with Business Manager and other relevant Staff to effectively conduct market analysis on funding trends, gather business intelligence, identify and participate in responding to business opportunities in the organisation’s environment as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Development Strategic Management/Economics or other relevant field;
5 years relevant experience in fundraising, donor relations, marketing and communications.
Demonstrated experience in a marketing coordination, or donor relations role with progressive administrative responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Resource Mobilisation Manager shall be able to design a roadmap to set resource mobilization and partnership goals that would guide the resource mobilisation work for the Organisation; He/She will facilitate the development of specific resource mobilization strategy by bringing together the different stakeholders and partners; He/She shall gather and analyze business intelligence to inform resource mobilization strategy; He/She shall be able to conduct market assessment in line with the funding priorities and trends, and update the Secretary General and the Management team on a regular basis; shall ensure proper liaison and engagement with focal points in the IFRC and Partner National Societies on funding trends and funding opportunities; He/She shall act as coordinator and focal point for resources mobilization in Zambian Red Cross and develop tools and procedures for grant management and resources mobilization; He/She shall build and document sound relationships with institutional funders and potential government departments and position ZRCS for partnerships; He/She shall identify and prioritise key partners/stakeholder and; Coordinate and contribute to the design, writing, review and approval of project proposals and concept papers for submission to stakeholders/Partners.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
• Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and resource mobilisation skills.
• Demonstrate successful experience in proposals development, reports and producing clear analysis of resource mobilisation issues.
• Computer literacy in word processing, data base management and page layout
• Should have the highest level of communication skills, including engaging and informative formal public speaking
• Should be able to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
• Able to set high standards for quality of work and consistently achieves organisational goals
• Has good leadership and supervisory skills; co-ordinates group activities, ensuring that roles within the team are clear
• Able to build rapport with individuals and groups; partners, stakeholders and able to maintain an effective network of such for both internal and external environments
• Able to translates strategic direction into plans and objectives
