The Required Skills for this Role Include:
• Responsible for planning daily production in keeping with finished product stock levels and raw material intake.
• To work hands on with milk from milk intake to cheese making, maturation and packaging for sale.
• With maximum attention to detail, implement all cheese-making stages (pH, temperature, time and other flow process steps) specific to a cheese variety in a high care environment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe cheese-making environment.
• While cheese matures, test samples for moisture content, acidity levels, saltiness, bitterness and all other qualities that defines a good cheese so as to effect positive adjustments in future batches to be processed.
• Responsible for the implementation of product development for new cheese varieties.
• Ensure that raw materials are laboratory tested in order to meet set product specification.
• Ensure set process parameters are monitored and maintained.
• Responsible for stock control management and ensuring that loses are within ZAMMILK acceptable levels.
• Responsible for ordering of consumables and packaging materials while monitoring stock levels.
• Responsible for ensuring that raw materials and finished products are transported as per standing instruction.
• Ensure that packed product batch details and weights are conforming to the final Product specification.
• Ensure that product integrity in terms of seals and labelling are as per specification.
• Ensure and maintain Good manufacturing Practices according to current Food safety Management systems.
• Responsible for repair and maintenance of the Cheese Plant
• Ensure that Waste is disposed of as per waste disposal procedure, ensuring no product residuals on materials to be disposed and segregation of waste according to type (paper and plastic).
• Conduct daily and monthly stock take

The Required Qualifications are:
• Grade 12 certificate
• University Degree or Diploma in the related field
• Two years of experience

The Required Attributes Include:
• Ability to operate various plant equipment
• Able to communicate and delegate work to subordinates
• Able to generate daily production figures, statistics.
• Problem Solving ability (able to respond to unanticipated problems during the process with plan B solutions)
• Creative Mind-Cheese making is an art and requires a creative mind in order to develop new cheese recipes and varieties.
• Team work – team player
• Food Safety- implement a culture of Food Safety in all Process steps of the Cheese plant

Purpose of the function
As our Global Strategic Advisor, Research, you will be responsible for overseeing VVOB’s research agenda and initiatives, and for developing and strengthening VVOB’s evidence-based practices. As a member of VVOB’s programmes team, the Global Strategic Advisor, Research will work closely with the Global Strategic Education Advisors and the Global Strategic Advisor, M&E at head office, and with relevant staff in different VVOB country offices, to advance VVOB’s research on education programmes and to strengthen M&E systems for better evidence generation.

About The Role
Apollo is seeking a Country Commercial Lead to help drive the rapid scaling of the company in Zambia. This role will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance across our sales channels, putting systems and processes in place to support rapid growth, and ensuring efficiency across a large and growing sales team. The Commercial Lead will develop the blueprint for our sales organization and its key systems and processes, which will be directly leveraged as Apollo expands to new districts within Zambia. This is a senior leadership role – the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping Apollo’s approach to connecting with and winning our customers, which is at the very core of our business.Management: This role reports to the Country Head – ZambiaResponsibilities:
• Own and continuously improve Apollo’s sales strategy: Evaluate all aspects of Apollo’s current sales process and work closely with other departments to make improvements. Optimize the processes by which we manage our network of field sales agents. Ensure that all processes enable clear insight into performance as well as tools for performance management
• Build processes and drive operational excellence: Establish qualitative and quantitative metrics and standards to collect insights and measure Sales function performance, pushing for efficiency and increased productivity by building processes and systems to support this. Work with other functional heads, particularly in our Product and Business Operations teams, to design and execute experiments geared towards identifying challenges, gathering insights, and informing creative new approaches – be a driving force for innovation.
• Lead and develop a world-class sales team: Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of a world-class sales team, owning employee retention and performance management to ensure high-performing and motivated sales teams.
• Expand our operations in Zambia: Manage operational execution of expansion into new territories in Zambia, including scouting of expansion districts identified, new products proposed, government relations, etc
