Key Accountabilities:
• Interface with procurement team and vendors to align lead time with planned maintenance work activities

• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment and system failures and malfunctions
• Conduct test runs of new processes involving automated equipment, systems and controls
• Liaise with internal stakeholders on operations maintenance works and project requirements
• Determine maintenance requirements to achieve operational state in accordance with organisational standards
• Develop operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment and systems
• Ensure all round seamless implementation9 of asset management system and standards

Purpose
Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for assisting in the establishment of preventative and responsive maintenance within FQMO mine to ensure maximum operational performance is achieved in a safe and cost effective manner.

Specific Job Responsibility
Installation:
• Provide guidance on the installation of new electrical operational equipment and systems, replacement of old, faulty or redundant electrical operational equipment and systems as per the company and vendor’s safety and quality specifications.
Electrical protection:
• Provide guidance on the mine’s electrical maintenance equipment to have the correct hardware interlocking and safety parameter settings for safe and effective operation.
Maintenance:
• Provide guidance on the companies planned and preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for different electrical equipment.
Reporting and record keeping:
• Report all incidents immediately to your direct supervisor.
• Provide guidance on all safety logbooks regarding inspections and authorizations according to the FQMO logbook procedure.
Stock Control:
• Provide guidance on stock levels of electrical equipment to be held in the warehouse and report all defective or substandard equipment to your direct supervisor.
Tools and audit:
• Provide guidance on the correct type of all hand tools, required for the work within the fixed plant electrical section.
• Provide guidance on the safe usage of all mobile / hydraulic tools, required for the work within your section.
• Provide guidance on the reporting of defective tools, the correct usage and control of hand tools.
• Provide guidance on all mine site electrical fixed plant drawings to be kept up to date and verified for redlined updates to be submitted to the drafting section for redrafting.
Training and development:
• Provide knowledge and skills training for onsite personal, through our VFL program.
• Assist in identifying of needs for specialized training requirements within the fixed plant area of responsibility.
• Assist in implementation of a reliable Zambian development program [succession planning] to guide and mentor upcoming leaders in your section, ensuring the record keeping are transparent and available for auditing purposes.

Other duties:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, training and supervising all fixed plant electrical functions. This include safety, scheduling, engineering specifications, material control and day to day direction on technical information.
• Assist in creating of downtime / lost time, reports in a timely manner and presented to senior staff after each substantial production loss (due to equipment failure in the fixed plant), for evaluation and escalation to senior management.
• Any other duties as directed by your direct supervisor.

Qualifications
• Grade 12 school certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized institution or an equivalent electrical qualification.
• A valid Zambian vehicle driving permit.
• Registered as a member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
• Registered as a member of the Engineering Registration Board of Zambia (ERB).

Experience
• Seven years’ experience in an open pit electrical maintenance environment, working as an appointed electrical engineer.
• Maintenance and operating knowledge of electrical low, medium and High voltage systems, protection calculations and settings.
• technology and equipment.
• Ability to read, train and understand electrical & P&ID drawings.
• Computer literate in all the Microsoft packages

Job Summary:
The Technology Solutions Architect will provide support to both the Technical Division and Sales divisions and will be responsible for consultancy, design and commercial documentation. Technical writing skills would be required. The person will work closely with the various departments to ensure that the designs are functional, and solution driven. Financial review of projects in close co-operation with the Integrated Solutions Manager and CST lead.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and drive the development of the integrated solutions in line with the company’s strategic and business plans and values, working closely and collaboratively with the other Division Directors or Managers to assist in the delivery of cohesive, high quality, high impact projects;
• Work with the Senior Management Team to assess and evaluate the company’s technical needs with respect to impact and effectiveness of projects, and company development.
• Design, document, advise and assist on all projects within agreed upon budgets, timelines and standards including technical and financial proposals.
• Participate in procurement by providing technical support to the tendering and selection process of any requirements in support of a project; Maintain strict compliance with the company procurement policy;
• Work with the management team in the development of the Company’s overall Integrated Solutions Strategy and seek to positively influence the progression and growth of the Integrated Solutions division;
• Responsible for production of strategic security and engineering deliverables, drawings, documentation, reports, and presentation materials. Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, design, IT, electronics or similar is essential
• Professional qualification in design technology, engineering, security and risk management or any related field.
• Minimum ten (10) years technical experience in the same industry with at least five (5) years’ in the infrastructure / facilities security sector at a management level.
• Specialist knowledge in retail / residential, corporate, commercial and diplomatic alarm systems and alarm response to include integration with home automation, security / fire control and building management systems.
• Demonstrable experience of large scale and complex technology security solutions in at least 3 key sectors e.g. Oil & Gas, Hospitality, Large Commercial Buildings, Education Sector, New Builds / Mixed Use Development Projects, Health Care, Retail & Financial Services.

A Welder is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Their duties include reviewing blueprints, cutting metal into the appropriate shape and smoothing molten metal to remove creases. should be able to strip and assemble water pumps.

Responsibilities:
• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Sourcing materials to be used for various project
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Job Qualification/Skill Requirements:
• Craft Certificate in Welding
• Proven experience as welder
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
