The Sales Travel Consultant will monitor the competitor landscape in order to develop sales strategies and also acquire sales through the generation and follow-up of leads. Analyses customer behaviour to support client acquisition and retention through customer enquiries and feedback. Take the lead in researching destination and travel prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
• Research, explore and study different travel destination options
• Book tickets, reserve accommodation, organize rental transportation
Inform clients and provide useful travel material such as guides, maps and event programs
• Conduct research on market trends in technology applications to improve productivity and innovation.
• Escalate client requests that deviate from signed sales agreements.
• Follow up on networking interactions and leads.
• Gather customer feedback and market sentiments for stakeholders to enhance products and services.
• Research destination and travel prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
• Research and study clients’ specifications and wishes
• Suggest suitable travel options that best suite clients’ needs
• Plan and organize travels
• Maintain database of sales leads.
• Monitor competitors and customer demand to provide market intel for strategy development.
• Provide email, social media or telephone responses to customer enquiries.
• Provide first-level responses to clients’ requests and requirements.
• Recommend a range of products and services according to the client’s needs.
• Providing exceptional customer service over the phone and via email
• Interpreting and understanding the potential customers’ profile and selling a Travel experience that best fits their needs
• Forming relationships with and negotiating optimal supply agreements and keeping up to date with movements in the industry and new suppliers

Qualifications and Experience
• Advanced Diploma in Sales and Marketing / Business Administration or Related
• Must have at least a minimum of 3-5 years practical work experience in Sales and Marketing of Travel Services / Holiday Destinations as a Travel Agent
• Should have a background on Computer Reservations Systems, GDS systems more preferably AMADEUS
• Must be Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc.)
• Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively
