PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE TO PROJECT HOPE COUNTRY OFFICE STAFF.

PROJECT HOPE is a non-profit global health organization dedicated to providing long-lasting solutions to health problems and improving the quality of life for the world’s most vulnerable people. Project HOPE established an office in Zambia in 2019 to contribute to the goal of HIV epidemic control by mitigating the risks and impact of HIV/AIDS among vulnerable children, adolescents, and their caregivers. Project HOPE partners with the Government of Zambia, the private sector, and local and international non-governmental organizations to improve outcomes for HIV, TB, malaria, maternal, newborn, and child health, and non-communicable diseases, including mental illness. Project HOPE supports and advocates for child and social protection activities and related health policies, while also engaging in health systems strengthening

To ensure access to quality health services  for the Country Staff, Project HOPE wishes to invite service providers to submit sealed bids for Medical Insurance Services to Project HOPE Zambia Country office.

Expression of Interest for the Development of the Mobile E-Learning Platform on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for Young Women at Non-governmental Gender Organisation Coordinating Council

1.1 Background

Despite the many efforts on SRHR being undertaken in the Country, girl’s and women’s issues are still high on the agenda. Child marriage and teenage pregnancies are still high while Gender based violence is still rife. It is against this background that NGOCC formed the Young Women’s Networks (YWN) in its operational areas across the ten Provinces of Zambia. They were formed to provide an environment where the young women feel safe enough to share their issues around SRHR and preventive measures. The YWN also seeks to strengthen the young people’s individual and collective voices and mobilise people in communities for prevention of child marriages. The YWN are further raising more awareness on adolescent sexual reproductive health issues and on-going liaison among young people, further increasing the knowledge on SRHR among them.

It is for this reason that it has become imperative to create an online platform to enable the YWN broaden the scope of their interactions and interventions.

2.0 GENERAL OBJECTIVE

To develop an electronic mobile learning platform on SRHR compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.

3.0 SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

3.1 To design and Programme an Application based electronic platform.

3.2 To create a safe, user-friendly and interactive e-learning platform.

3.3 To orient NGOCC Members of Staff and Young Women Network on the use of the Platform.

4.0 DURATION

4.1 The entire consultancy will be for a period of twenty-five (25) working days commencing immediately the contract is signed.

5.0 EXPECTED OUTPUTS/DELIVERABLES

Prepare inception Report
Provide Software Requirement Specification (SRS)
Development of a mobile e-learning platform on SRHR
Development of e-learning platform for Android and IoS Mobile App
Development of a user-friendly frontend and menu
Software Deployment on Live Server.
Prepare and provide a User Manual
Conduct Knowledge transfer through workshop/Training.
Provide Source code & database
Estimate completion report including anticipated challenges (if any).
Provide 12 months Support & Maintenance Service.

6.0 QUALIFICATIONS:

The Consultant should possess the following qualifications:

A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in software development
English language skills
An understanding of gender and women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights

7.0 Application Procedures:

A cover letter summarizing suitability and qualifications for this assignment
Track record of delivered samples of past works of similar nature.
Technical proposal with indicative work plan showing consultant’s planned approach to the assignment.
Cost proposal with proposed payment schedule for the given payment schedule.

The various scopes of work will include but not limited to:

(1) Supply, delivery and construction of distribution lines up to 33kV in various locations throughout Zambia;

(2) Supply, delivery and installation of pole mounted transformers (PMT) and ground mounted transformers (GMT) up to 33kV of various power ratings, complete with associated accessories,

(3) Supply, delivery and laying of power cables of various sizes and lengths up to 33kV; and

(4) Supply, delivery and installation of ring main units and other switchgear.

ZESCO Limited now invites applications from eligible companies or consortiums who may be interested in being pre-qualified to undertake the projects as outlined above.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and Public Procurement Regulations Statutory Instrument No. 30 of 2022 and is open to eligible citizen bidders only. The meaning of citizen Bidder is provided in the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020.

The prequalification document may be obtained from the ZESCO Limited Head office, Stand No. 6949, Procurement office, Regional Control Centre, Great East Road, Lusaka, Zambia, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K1,000.00 or its equivalent in any convertible currency at the prevailing exchange rate in cash or bank certified cheque.
