Kamimbi Aqua Feed Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of ACCOUNTING MANAGER (X01).

Responsibilities or duties

Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, regulatory filings, and financial reporting obligations.

Provide timely and accurate financial reports and insights to management for decision-making.

Manage supplier payments for raw materials used in fish feed production (e.g., soya, maize, additives).

Oversee customer invoicing and collections for finished fish feed products.

Monitor and control credit terms, outstanding receivables, and supplier obligations.

Ensure effective working capital management.

Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations.

Oversee online banking transactions, payments, and reconciliations.

Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and advise management on funding requirements.

Work closely with operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation of raw materials and finished goods.

Monitor and control production costs and variances.

Ensure proper accounting for stock movements and consumption within the plant.

Oversee the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing.

Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHIMA, NAPSA).

Provide financial guidance and strategic input to management.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Support internal and external audits.

Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial governance standards.

Strengthen financial controls to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.

Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team.

Ensure clear delegation of duties and high performance within the department.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE).

Bachelor’s degree plus a full professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA etc.).

Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Strong experience in accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management.

Proficiency in IFRIS or similar ERP systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and online banking platforms.

Accurate and precise attention to detail.

Must uphold the company and professional code of ethics.

Unquestionable integrity.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability

Results must be certified by ZAQA.

Experience needed

Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
