Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed individual for the position of Business Systems, Process and Demand Planning Analyst to join the Supply Chain team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick’s DNA by:

Reporting to the Demand and Supply Superintendent, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining effective supply control systems, policies, and standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial and statistical information relating to major commodities.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Manage demand planning activities in a timely and efficient manner to ensure uninterrupted operational support.
- Ensure the timely replenishment of commodity consumables and always maintain adequate stock levels on site.
- Monitor compliance with MRP runs and conduct weekly reviews in line with established KPIs.
- Coordinate annual, quarterly, and monthly demand planning meetings for key commodities.
- Collaborate with the Capital Buyer on sourcing activities for capital goods and services to ensure alignment with site objectives and compliance with project timelines.
- Serve as a technical liaison between Supply Chain, customers, and support teams to facilitate effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Support the review, improvement, and standardization of business processes in accordance with industry best practices.
- Assist in the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of internal controls, reporting systems, and training programs to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the effective management of consignment agreements in accordance with approved terms and conditions.
- Maintain SAP info records to ensure accurate pricing for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Consignment Agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures relating to contracting and demand forecasting activities.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders involved in LMC’s mining operations, in line with the company’s community relations policy.
- Assist in preparing regular procurement performance reports to support effective monitoring and decision-making.
- Actively support and contribute to site safety initiatives and implement changes as directed by the General Manager and management team.
- Promote, monitor, and enforce adherence to safe work practices among all personnel.
- Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, and resolved in accordance with company policies, statutory requirements, and approved corrective action procedures.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Procurement Management, preferably in the mining industry.
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS).
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, PRONTO, SYSPRO, SAGE, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of international contracts and procurement practices.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultural environments and transfer technical and operational knowledge to local Zambian Mine operations personnel.
- Valid Zambian driver’s license.
