The company is looking for qualified candidateS in the following positions:
Responsibilities or duties
The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and managing construction and infrastructure projects to ensure that they are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in accordance with approved designs, engineering standards, and relevant regulations.
- Design and supervise the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility assessments.
- Ensure that construction work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress to ensure completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Inspect construction materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Identify technical problems on site and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and relevant building regulations.
- Assist in procurement planning, resource allocation, and project cost control.
- Review construction plans and recommend improvements where necessary.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
Registration with EIZ.
Experience needed
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in construction, infrastructure development, or project supervision.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Knowledge of civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or relevant structural analysis software.
Understanding of construction methods, materials, engineering standards, and health and safety requirements.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good project planning and organisational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good computer skills and proficiency in relevant engineering software.
