Role Overview: Mechanic Plumber

The company is seeking one full-time Mechanic Plumber to join its engineering team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems to support ongoing mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and execute daily written work orders and verbal instructions from the foreman.
• Maintain and repair plumbing works and fittings using appropriate skills and knowledge.
• Utilize available materials, parts, and labor to complete tasks to acceptable standards.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and orderly after each job.
• Complete all job-related documentation thoroughly to facilitate effective communication.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Plumbing.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Physical fitness and dexterity necessary for handling tools and equipment.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• All academic qualifications must be verified and certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be results-oriented, able to work independently, and demonstrate a clear understanding of the scope of work. Attention to company policies and corporate objectives is essential.
