Position Summary:

We are recruiting ten (10) qualified Electrical Technicians to perform installation, maintenance, and repair work on various electrical systems within our mining operations. Technicians must be proficient, safety-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on mining electrical systems and equipment.
  • Work on motors, switchgear, distribution boards, lighting, and control circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strictly adhere to all Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
  • Assist the Electrical Supervisor with planning and executing daily tasks.
  • Complete work reports and maintenance logs accurately.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Electrical Trade Test Certificate (Grade 1 or Craft Certificate).
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment is a strong advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.

General Requirements:

  • Strong safety awareness and discipline.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a demanding mining environment.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Must be based in Solwezi or willing to relocate immediately.
