Mechanic
Location: Solwezi
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of light vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine faults.
- Service and repair light vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance according to service schedules.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur.
- Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other components.
- Perform routine inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
- Attend to breakdowns and carry out field repairs when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Certificate in Motor Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, or a related qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mechanic.
- Experience working on construction or mining equipment will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose faults using both manual and electronic diagnostic methods.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
