Background
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team and support the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our factory. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to respond quickly to mechanical issues in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical repairs on machinery, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and related equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance with accuracy and speed
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain detailed records
- Install, assemble, and align mechanical components and new equipment
- Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational procedures
- Support production teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
Qualifications & Experience
- Craft Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Fitting / Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems is an added advantage

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving ability
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns promptly
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to generate reports
