JOB DETAILS:

Great North Road Academy is seeking for dynamic and dedicated Secondary Teacher and Boarding Matron to join our committed academic team.

Position: Secondary School Teacher

Subject Combination:
IT/MATH
Location: Lusaka.
Job Type: Full Time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and participate in Extra- Curriculum Activities.
  Preparing students for internal and external examinations.
  Using modern teaching tools and technologies to enhance learning.
  Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of Learners.
  Participating in departmental meetings, training programs, and school events.
  Maintaining discipline and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education with IT/MATH subject Combination.
• Must have a valid practicing license from Teaching Council of Zambia.
  Must have a minimum of 2 years proven teaching experience
  Must have a Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  Must be Computer literate and proficient in educational technology
  tools.

Position: Boarding Matron

Location: Lusaka.
Job Type: Full Time.

Job Summary

The Matron will be responsible for all aspects of the functioning of the Boarding Section, of which they are in charge and is expected to run following agreed school practice and Reporting Accountability

Key Responsibilities

• To oversee the personal and academic development of all the pupils in their care.
  To ensure the School Minimum Standards for Boarding are adhered to.
  To see that good discipline is maintained.
  To make all necessary domestic arrangements for the comfort, health and welfare of the pupils in the school dormitories.
  To prepare meals and manage routines
  To ensure that all furniture, equipment and fittings in the Boarding Section, remain in good repair and condition (fair wear and tear excepted),
  Ensure policies on Learners Safety are adhered to including child protection, anti-bullying, rewards and sanctions are adhered to.
  Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff
  To provide emotional support and guidance

Key Competencies and Qualification

• Must have a Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5′ O’ Levels and a Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  Should be able to work under pressure and work beyond regular working hours, including weekends.
