Part-Time Clinical Officer – Psychiatry
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should:
- Hold a Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Hold a Diploma in Clinical Medical Sciences.
- Be registered with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) with a valid practising licence.
- Have training or experience in Psychiatry/Mental Health (preferred).
- Be based in Ndola or willing to work from Ndola.
- Be available to work on a part-time basis and be ready to start work immediately.
- Possess excellent clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be compassionate, ethical, and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities ?
Assess, diagnose, and manage clients with mental health conditions.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor medications within the scope of practice.
Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care.
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Participate in mental health awareness and community outreach programmes.
