The Station Manager will direct the daily operational, financial, and administrative functions of the station.
Responsibilities or duties
Key responsibility
- Team Leadership: Oversee sales, programming, Techinical matters, and administrative personnel.
- Financial Oversight: Manage annual operational budgets, expense tracking, and revenue targets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national media laws and licensing requirements.
- Content Strategy: Guide the station’s branding, scheduling, and on-air quality control.
- Public Relations: Act as the primary representative for community and corporate partnerships.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Key requirements
- Proven Leadership: 3+ years managing radio station operations.
- Industry Experience: 5–7 years in broadcasting with a track record of driving revenue.
- Legal Compliance: Deep understanding of broadcast regulations and licensing laws.
- Technical Literacy: Familiarity with radio automation software and production tools.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional skills in public relations and crisis management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Journalism.
