About the Role
I.O Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Developer to lead and support the development of a GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management platform.
The ideal candidate must have strong full-stack development experience and the technical capability to design, build, and maintain a scalable, secure, and real-time tracking system.
This role is ideal for a developer who understands system architecture, telematics integration, and database-intensive applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop a GPS vehicle tracking and fleet management platform
- Build and maintain backend systems for real-time tracking data processing
- Integrate GPS devices via APIs, TCP/IP, or protocol-based communication
- Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and live tracking interfaces
- Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and data security
- Maintain and improve existing web-based applications
Required Skills & Experience
Applicants must have strong knowledge and practical experience in:
- Backend development and system architecture
- Python
- JavaScript
- PHP
- CSS and modern web development
- Database design and management
- SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- API development and integration
- Real-time data handling and server-side logic
Strong Advantage:
- Experience developing GPS tracking or fleet management platforms
- Knowledge of telematics protocols
- Socket programming / device data parsing
- Cloud hosting and server deployment
- Version control (Git)
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience developing complex web platforms (portfolio or GitHub required)
