Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ a Workshop Maintenance Manager in the Maintenance Department to join our team.
Responsibilities or duties
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and oversee trouble shooting and diagnostic procedures on heavy duty and light trucks (FAW/SHACMAN/HOWO).
- Hands-on supervision of all workshop activities, including repair works and technical activities.
- Maintain workshop safety, including equipment safety and operational safety; anticipate risks and guide staff to follow standard operating procedures to reduce safety risks.
- Maintain accurate usage of spare parts to forecast needs and stock replenishment.
- Maintain quality control and supervise repair quality, provide technical guidance, and optimize processes.
- Be responsible for the maintenance workshop environment, arrange working hours, ensure employee protection and well-being, keep tools and spare parts properly organized, and maintain workshop cleanliness.
- Conduct final checkups and approval of all repair work and test vehicles prior to releasing the vehicle.
- Organize and conduct specialized technical training to improve employees’ skills.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the company supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Maintenance, Auto Engineering or related field.
- Full Grade twelve (12) certificate.
- Proficient in heavy-duty truck engines and chassis, including major and medium overhauls and complex fault diagnosis.
Experience needed
- At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience with at least three (3) years of workshop management experience and strong service awareness.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Must reside in Ndola, Kitwe or the surrounding area.
- Good communication skills and coordination/management abilities.
NOTE. All interviews are strictly in-person, at our Sakania Yard in Ndola. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
