JOB DETAILS:
Investrust Bank Plc (IBP) is looking for suitably qualified, vibrant and self-motivated individuals tofill the positions that have fallen vacant as below:
Position Title: IT Officer Database Administration x2
Department: Technology
Location: Head Office
Reports to: Manager – Business Support
Purpose of the Job
This position is responsible for the provision of database administration support while ensuring maximum system availability and uptime. .

Key Responsibilities
• Monitors system and databases performances and capacity and ensures they are within optimum limits.
• Controls access to the database and ensures all databases are secure.
• Conducts routine systems clean ups and other database/file management activities to ensure optimum system performance.
• Provides system support to all users and systems administrators with respect to the Database Management.
• Verifies data integrity by executing predefined system checks.
• Ensures all after hours support is provided in line with Service Level Agreements to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensures all faults/incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs and escalate faults/incidents accordingly.
• Designs and develops general and management information reports as requested by users • Updates and amends existing databases.
• Sets up and tests new database and data handling systems.
• Creates and maintains all records and documentation pertaining to the Bank’s database systems.
• Performs user access and log reviews.
• Ensures the Bank’s ICT policies and procedures are enforced.
• Performs system backups.
• Participates in project implementations and when required.
• Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery planning/recovery strategies.

Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/Information Systems.
• Minimum of three years proven experience in ICT field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL will be an added advantage.
