JOB DETAILS:
Background information about the job or company:
Ensure mechanical maintenance and repairs are done on plant equipment in a safe and effective manner according to maintenance schedules to facilitate smooth plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs to plant equipment
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on plant equipment
- Repair mechanical equipment on breakdown
- Ensure good and correct use of tools
- Carry out pre-planned/preventive maintenance work
- Test-run completed work
- Initiate orders for required materials/spares
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and skills required:
- Mechanical Artisan’s Craft Certificate
- At least 5 years hands-on experience in a process industry
- Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
- Knowledge of work and safety rules and regulations
- Sound mechanical knowledge
- Attention to details, perfectionist
- Good aptitude for field work
- Effective written and verbal skills
- Team building skills
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: associate degree
