JOB DETAILS:

Swiss Guard Security Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Drivers/Rapid Response. The role reports to the Regional Manager and will be based in Ndola & Lusaka.

Job Purpose

The Drivers/Rapid Response will be responsible for responding to alarm activation, transporting security personnel (Staff and Guards), goods and documents as required by the company. The role requires adherence to traffic rules, vehicle maintenance and efficient route planning to support company operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safe Driving practices

• Transport staff, documents and goods safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all traffic rules and company driving policies.
• To drive a Reaction vehicle to respond to activations and other emergencies.

2. Vehicle maintenance and management

• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report any vehicle defects or necessary repairs promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained all times.
• Ensure the vehicle is serviced on time.

3. Logistics and route planning

• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to save time and fuel.
• Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of personnel and goods and maintain accurate records of travel logs and fuel consumption

4. Compliance and documentation

• Ensure all company vehicles have valid road tax, insurance and service records.
• Ensure all employees adhere to traffic rules.

Key Competencies

• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
• Good time management and reliability.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• Full Grade twelve Certificate
• Must be between 35  and 49 years
• Must have a valid  driving license.
• At least 3 years of driving experience in reputable organization
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• No Criminal record, must provide police clearance.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
