ZIBSIP College invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Accountant - Payables
Responsibilities or duties
Accountant - Payables (Full-Time)
- Ensure all necessary documents are fully signed and approved before processing a payment
- Ensure all payment receipts are attached, and all payment vouchers are signed.
- Maintain records of original payment vouchers in box files and checks that all required supporting documents are available and signed.
- Compiles all vouchers to suppliers of various goods to the college.
- Assist in the preparation of wage pay sheets for part–time Lecturers and General workers.
- Requesting, reconciling, and analyzing petty cash reimbursements into the relevant expense account.
- Reconcile statements from suppliers with college payment vouchers.
- Preparation of monthly cashbook and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on disbursement.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Full Grade 12 Certificate.
CA level II, ACCA level II, CIMA level II.
Must be registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA)
Experience needed
Minimum of two (2) years of work experience.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
